Buffet Cửu Vân Long Premium isn’t just a meal, it’s a well-oiled culinary experience, a place where the chaos of a bustling buffet meets the polish of fine dining. From the moment we sat down, the service was flawless, something you’d expect at a 5-star restaurant. The waitstaff operated like a well-rehearsed orchestra, one clearing our plates just as another replaced them, keeping our table clean despite the endless stream of crab shells, snail shells, and oyster remnants. Even during peak hours, the front staff managed the crowd with precision, making sure no guest felt overlooked. Impressive.
Now, onto the real reason you come here, the food. This is a seafood lover’s paradise. The buffet includes:
🦀 Crab & Blue Crab - Sweet, juicy, packed with meat, and made even better with Vietnamese dipping sauces. The green sauce (salt, green chili, lime) hits you with a tangy, spicy kick, while the red sauce (salt, red chili, lime) is bold and addictive.
🐚 Grilled Shellfish & Snails - Fresh, flavorful, and served with classic Vietnamese herbs and sauces.
🍣 Sushi Bar – A solid selection of fresh sushi and sashimi, giving you a break between heavier dishes.
🍕 Western Selections – Fries, pizza, spaghetti Bolognese, and even made-to-order steak. The steak (filet mignon or tenderloin) was cooked to a perfect medium-rare—tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
🍜 Vietnamese Noodle Bar – You can get bún bò Huế, bún Hà Nội, bún riêu, and more, all made to order.
🍉 Fruit Bar – A selection of Vietnamese fruits like dragon fruit, longan (nhãn), and more.
🍰 Desserts – Baked pastries, cakes, Vietnamese sweet puddings (chè), and homemade yogurt that was rich, creamy, and naturally flavored with vanilla, easily my favorite way to end the meal.
And all of this for just 500,000–600,000 VND (~$28–$35 CAD). A crazy good deal compared to buffets in North America. The kitchen staff worked tirelessly, constantly refilling dishes to keep the buffet stocked.
If you are in Saigon and love food, do yourself a favour, come hungry and eat...
Read moreVery very rude staff that make comments and sniggers about you. We were genuinely treated like an inconvenience and with blatant disrespect.
My partner wouldn't say what was what happened exactly but one of the girls made remarks about us stuffing our faces and being American even though we are neither American nor food suffers (we're not big people, not even remotely) while i was busy sorting things out with another girl. We then got told several times as if we were stupid that the drinks were separate and had to be paid for and to usher the girl over once we were ready to order drinks only for her to disappear into thin air as soon as she was finished being rude. In general they were all just very rude. We simply came down after a sky deck viewing to get some dinner at a restaurant with a view.
We got our money back and left but not without them wanting to know why. Which is insane considering they treated us like they didn't want us there to begin with. The food seemed alright, general buffet style food. Honestly you could probably get more authentic value for less money at any other restaurant considering you have to pay a fair amount to even get in.
So if you're a general restaurant goer and not a buffeter, I'd recommend going anywhere else. We didn't expect to be treated like royalty, simply we expected to be treated...
Read moreA very enjoyable seafood buffet if your goal is to eat as much shellfish as possible
The highlight of the buffet is definitely the variety of crabs. I think there were five different types of crab dishes when I was there and all the crabs tasted fresh and were delicious.
There are some sushi and sashimi options but honestly, they’re all pretty bad. The only passable stuff is maybe the salmon and the herring with fish roe.
There is also a dim sum counter and the dim sum is not too shabby but be honest you didn’t come here to eat dim sum.
The surprise star of the show was the steak. They must tenderize the steak beforehand because the steak is quite tender and consistent. Eaten with the black pepper sauce it could be a reason to come back by itself.
There is also a large variety of snail, clams, oysters, and other shellfish, but disappointingly there was no raw oyster available.
The service here is pretty good considering how crowded it is, and that brings me to the biggest downside of this place, which is that it is quite crowded during peak lunch and dinner hours so much so that you may sometimes need to wait a few minutes for people to get out of your way before you can grab food.
Overall this is a very good value seafood buffet in a prime location that is worth visiting if you really enjoy stuffing yourself...
