We ventured into Airlie today to pick up supplies and spend some hard earned money in town. We parked the car in the vacant dirt block after doing the rounds of the Woolies car park. We decided to have some lunch and a drink first at MAGNUM HOTEL before getting our cold stuff to take back. We got an $88 fine for parking in a supposed Magnum car park. BE AWARE the overflow for Woolies is not this block but the one further along. Money grabbers for a 2 hr visit...

SCAM. I couldn't find a carpark at Woolies as my vehicle was too high. The car park leads you straight across to a larger dirt Car Park which is apparently private. I was fined $88 for 5 minutes parking. I rang the hotline and couldn't get through, pushed option 2 and nothing happened. Maybe it should be fenced off, with all the money they're making off travellers daily I'm sure...
