Cadillacs Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Exmouth

I’ve worked in hospitality for absolutely years and the service that we received today was shocking, takes a lot for me to even think about leaving a review but this shouldn’t go unspoken of. We walked in at 11:57 with my parents and sister to order a few drinks & a bowl of chips and received a snarky response saying the kitchen didn’t open till 12 - which is absolutely fine, by the time we ordered our drinks the food could have gone through. We ordered a middy of ginger beer and a couple pints but then asked for them all to be pints - and paid this did not register and she began to pour a middy, I asked for it to be a pint and she said you’ll have to pay the extra - which again fine but then tried to charge us for a full pint and when I questioned it I got so much attitude. The service was appalling we felt unwelcome, lime squeezed into my eye (by accident but no apology received) and we swiftly drank our drinks and went elsewhere. We went in on July 4th, thinking this was the best day to go. We were offered a table and given the menu. The menu was pretty extensive and we thought it would be easy to choose something to eat. My friend had the loaded fries which was explained as fries, gravy and cheese clusters, it turns out that clusters are cubed cheese. It was edible but not what she expected. I ordered the steak and was told on ordering that it was hot stone, so basically I'm cooking my own dinner which I can do at home. I decided on the cheese burger pizza, flavours were good but the bases was so soft and under cooked, it wasn't enjoyable. I ate 2 pieces and left the rest. I'd ordered a bottle of wine because I couldn't get it by the glass and left it there too, as it tasted really bad. It's the only negative eating experience we've had in Exmouth. This place is definitely a miss. Big hype, but little was delivered.. $42 steak on the bone that I had to cook myself!!! Whhhattttt??? I'm happy to cook my steak but in order to do that, I have to let my hot chips go cold, otherwise I'm eating hot steak with cold chips and warm salad... Absolutely pathetic this day in age. The stonegrill was big hype in the late 90s/early 2000s.. give it up, outdated already. Time for a new vibe!! I'm sure Exmouth deserves at least that.. for the price I pay, it better come cooked. Also, the decor is outdated, the chairs are old. My girlfriend had her buttcheeck(broke skin and drew blood) clamped onto by a chair that was made from hard plastic and had been broken. All she received was a light hearted apology and a free drink!!!! Wow. Plenty of places in Exmouth that deserve your dollar, do not eat here unless you wanna dine like your at home back...
