ATTENTION!! Worst property out. Cannot ever recommend to anyone if you ever experience a turn of events that prevent you coming and didn’t have a refundable room. Huge tropical cyclone coming, have been warned not to travel, and to prepare our home, have small kids with us, my football championship was cancelled due to this so needed to change the dates of booking. THEY WILL NOT BUDGE. No care factor, no remorse, no empathy, told me it’s not their problem, and they don’t control the weather. Well guess what, no one else in all the teams I’ve spoken with have had this issue, every other hotel has been more than happy and understanding to move the bookings or refund, except this place, which is quite disappointing as we stayed here last year, despite the pool having bandaids and someone’s strapping tape inside of it. Find it really alarming there’s no help. Just keep sending me a generic message on the app about their cancellation policy while I pleaded for a tad of mercy considering even if I wanted to come THERES A CYCLONE FAST APPROACHING AND IM IN A FLOOD ZONE. The fact you want me to risk mine and my kids lives to fulfil this booking worth just short of $600 is absolutely disgusting. Will never be staying here again, and will be telling all family and friends to boycott. You should be absolutely ashamed...
Read moreWe had unit 17 which is a wheelchair/disability unit. There were a few things that we found difficult, one of which was the toilet in the main bathroom. My wife has MS and is confined to a wheelchair, but with my assistance and a rail to hold on to as i get her on / off she is able to go. Unfortunately Alison's left hand is of no use and the only rail she could hang on to was on the left hand side and was to low. This did prove quite a challenge during our stay as i had to hold her up whilst redressing her. Every person with disabilities are different and i understand that units can't be designed to fit all. Also as she needs to rest during the day, a TV in the main bedroom would be great as for anyone in a wheelchair that has to sit in it all day becomes very uncomfortable and they need to lie down for a while. The girls on the front desk were great and offered any assistance we needed. and listened to my suggestions on our departure. We will be back in mid October and am looking forward to the view from Unit 80 that we have booked PS.. a chock to keep the unit door opened when wheeling a person in/out would be helpful also. Thanks for your...
Read moreMy family and I were in Caloundra for the first time, and the location seems perfect. It's just a block away from the beach and the Ferris wheel is certainly an icon for the town. There are quite a few cafes and restaurants along the beach walk, and we found it convenient during morning run or late arvo walk.
The room was a bit let down. It doesn't look like the one on the photos online, and the condition was below average, and certainly needs some maintenance. For example, the cliped edges of the walls, the towel hanger fell off on the floor with a slightest touch, and the carpets are quite dirty (let just say we don't walk around bare feet because of it). On the plus side, the online streaming like Netflix was great.
The pool and sauna was really good and easy to access. The spa was disappointing. It was windy and the spa was never hot. It would be nice to have it under cover and protect its temperature vary from outdoor.
Cleaning staffs are great and friendly. Overall, I felt my $640 for two nights was a bit overcharged. I was expecting a clean decent room like they put online, rather than the...
