Crumbz at Centrepoint — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Have tried this place a couple of times recently and it's not what it used to be. I think ownership may have changed a couple of times in recent years, not sure.

We went around 10am Sunday and it wasn't too busy, maybe 6 tables and all but 5 had food, but still took 40 mins to receive brekky. Pancakes were partially burnt and bacon a wee bit burnt as well and the hash brown was... Very dark in colour, like it had been cooked a little longer than it needed.

In saying that, the food tasted fine. Eggs cooked perfectly, mushrooms fine as well. Baked beans was maybe 1-2 mouthfuls in a tub that you could barely spoon out of.

Coffee tasted great and milkshake was great with the kids. Can't fault anything there.

If we were told there was going to be a 40 minute wait with no apology or a heads up, we'd have likely chosen somewhere else, as the kids were hungry and restless. Made the overall joy of going out to brekky that...

Service was very poor. The person taking the order did not greet with a simple hi or a smile. Half way through taking the order another staff member randomly started taking to the person talking the order and they completed their conversations before continuing taking the order. There was no excuse or apology. Food was not served in order, people arriving after us were served their breakfast first. There was a 30 minute delay for the food, we were not warned about this. On a positive note, the food was good for the price. I would eat there again but the poor service may...

My friends and I had breakfast twice at Crumbz. Our party numbered nine in total and the staff accommodated us happily.

Our orders were processed in good time and the meals were generous and tasty portions. Each of us was delighted with the quality.

All staff were friendly and took an interest in us and why we were in Caloundra.

A couple of us were repeat diners and have found our experiences consistent over time.
