Tasty Thai Caloundra — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

I really wanted this to be a great experience, but alas we have some negative feedback that kinda ruined our dinner. No green tea or non fizzy, non alcoholic drink option except water. There was a hair in the food. Teen boy tried to take plates after entree, and cutlery (wrapping his hand around the eating part) then after we said we still have more food coming, put the plate and cutlery back down. We suggested that he get clean cutlery. He did, but left the entree serving dishes on the table and didn't come back for them. After paying for 2, we were told there was only one deep fried icecream left. They refunded the difference but it was still dissapointing.

If you're looking for authentic Thai food with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Tasty Thai in Caloundra is the place to go! I had the Pad See Ew, and my partner tried the Chicken Panang—both dishes were absolutely delicious and full of traditional Thai flavors. You can tell this is a family-run business, and they take great pride in their food and service.

A special shoutout to Jayden, the chef's son, for his exceptional customer service! He greeted us with a big smile and made us feel so welcomed throughout our meal. His friendliness and genuine care for customers truly set this place apart.

We can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend Tasty Thai to anyone in Caloundra looking for amazing food and even better...

We tried to go here for dinner. But after having to help the staff to “find” us a table for two on a very quiet night, then looking at the prices on the menu ($40 for soup with prawns in it?!) and the limited drinks menu (no IPA) we sat there for close to ten minutes while not a single staff member so much as came to ask if we wanted water.

We go out a lot and are not price sensitive when the atmosphere and service match up.

Eventually we gave up and walked out. No one stopped us.

My partner went back ten minutes later as I’d dropped my asthma inhaler. They helped him look for it but didn’t even ask him why we left!!!
