We stayed here for a week while skiing in Lech in February. ||||You will not find nicer, more accommodating hoteliers anywhere! They offered quick and easy answers to all of our questions. Always with a smile, and always with an effort to meet your needs. ||||We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. With a pullout sofa in the living room for the kids, we had enough space. The kitchenette has all the supplies you need - dishes, glasses, flatware, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, two-burner stove top, little refrigerator, dishwasher, pots, pans and some cooking utensils. It is small, though - only one person in the kitchen at a time. And the only light in the kitchen is the one over the stove, so it's a tad dark. Also, the beds are very firm, which some of us liked and some did not. ||||On the bottom floor of the hotel was the ski storage room with a whole wall of boot heaters. Plenty of space for the entire hotel. Also on that floor was a sauna room which we all used multiple times, and appreciated very much.||||The hotel also had a big collection of sleds, and I'm pretty sure all of our kids were outside sledding every day after skiing. They LOVED the sleds, and the hotel is very near a perfect sledding hill. ||||The wifi in the hotel is perfect. Strong. And you log in only once, then you are always on.||||We ate dinner in our rooms several nights, and ate out several nights. We ate at Hus 8 and Fuz, and I would highly recommend both!!! We also went to St. Anton one night and did the night tobogganing - what a speedy hoot! We stopped part way down the toboggan trail and ate at a restaurant called Rodelalm, and that was delicious and great fun too, with a live band. ||||Lech is a picturesque ski town with a river running through it. The whole Arlberg region is wonderful. ||||The only negative I can report is that the hotel is about 450 meters from the kinder ski-schule and the rufikopf lift, and about 700 meters to the adult ski-schule and the Schlegelkopf lift, based on google maps. It's a pretty far walk in ski boots and carrying skis and dealing with children. Many of us had sore shins from all the walking in ski boots. There is a bus you can take to alleviate some of the walking, but with the time spent waiting for the bus, you often could get there faster if you just walked. The hotel had told us it was only 200 meters, so I was pretty disappointed to learn the distance was actually 2-3 Xs greater. ||||Would I stay at Haus Margarethe again? My husband says yes. I'm still a little annoyed by the distance to lifts/school, but overall it WAS a great trip, and the apartments and staff...
Read moreHaus Margarethe was amazing, a family run business where all the little touches are applied. The rooms are small and cosy with a kitchenette, bathroom split into loo and shower and super comfy beds - feather pillows and duvets which a lovely luxury to have when on a snowboarding holiday. Within walking distance to the spar and main lifts. Nice big communal dining room if you prefer to eat breakfast or dinner at the hotel. The husband and I would cook in our room and then go sit in the dining room to eat. Spa and...
Read moreGreat and cosy appartments. The rooms are not that big, but it's well equiped, clean and well maintained. I do miss the "Austrian" feeling like in other places in Lech.||Price is all right, for this town I mean, and we also took the complementary breakfast, which is very good. ||Service is great, very kind people and always open for...
