In all my travels...(I stay at a different hotel almost every week!); this is one of the very best hotels, I ever stayed at! ||To start off: The interior (and exterior for that matter) of the hotel is im-pec-cable! ||I have seldomly come across this level of cleanliness and attention to detail! There is not a speck of dust anywhere and everything is in perfect working order! ||The styling is warm and cosy. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive to your every need. Our room was spacious and super-comfortable. The Spa in the basement is a delight; especially after a day of skiing.||And the food...would almost make you forget everything else!? ..Absolutely delicious! Everything that came out of that kitchen was SO tasteful and perfectly seasoned! ||I (re-)discovered some of Austria's fine wines..; We felt utterly spoiled. With smiles on our faces that lasted the whole week!||And all this under the able supervision of Mrs. Diane Muxel. A truly lovely lady. She has the class of a lady in waiting...yet she insisted to help us with our luggage upon arrival. She sees everything and seems to be everywhere at once, while making it look easy!? I was impressed. Thank you Diane, Maria, David, Steve and everybody else that made this week one of our best...
Read moreI spent two nights at the Hotel Aurora in September 2017 at the start of my hike along the beautiful Lechweg. I have to agree with other reviewers that this is a truly wonderful hotel. Everything about it is perfect - beautifully comfortable rooms, a wonderful lounge ideal for whiling away a rainy afternoon with a good book, a great spa to ease the aches of a day's hiking, incredibly efficient and friendly staff, wonderful food at dinner, a varied breakfast and a central location with easy access to the hiking trails. The fact that the hotel is family-run adds a personal touch. They are all clearly passionate about what they do. I particularly appreciated the fact that Diane Muxel sent someone after me on the day I left to return my GPS hiking tracker that I had misplaced. Unfortunately, due to a minor accident, I had to abandon the Lechweg on day three, but I intend to return next year to do it in full and the Aurora will definitely be...
Read moreHotel Aurora is the kind of place where you feel completely at home while being thoroughly pampered. The hotel has a traditional, cozy style, beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. There is a charming terrace in the backyard with stunning views, facing the sun, where guests can enjoy afternoon cake, coffee, or a drink. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive to your needs. The evening meals are delightful, especially the salad buffet served daily.
Our room was thoughtfully designed, and we were thrilled that the hotel could accommodate our family of five, which many hotels can't. The sauna area is perfect for unwinding after a day of skiing, featuring three different saunas, a small "ice pool," and a restful room with a lovely selection of teas.
We sincerely hope to...
