We spent a week in this hotel which has 40 rooms after the reconstruction last year where they added 8 rooms and reconstructed the spa area. We afforded ourselves one of the new rooms, an Atelier room. This was very nicely decorated, had a balcony, had very large windows but above all, the view is amazing...you look right up the Omesberg and the slopes. The lobby of the hotel has been extended after the reconstruction and has a nice open fire, the blue bar and cosy seatings. It has a warm atmosphere and is very nicely decorated. The spa area is large, it has a relax room where silence is expected but also a room to sit and relax where talking is allowed. Between the two saunas there is a very small area where you can go outside to feel the snow between your feet. And again, it is all decorated with great taste. Fruit and tea is offered as well. The opening hours are convenient. Officially it is until 7pm but no rush if you start your dinner more towards the 8.30pm. You are requested in the dining room between 7.30 and 8.30pm which provides you the opportunity to have a drink first at the blue bar before dinner. When we were there it was always full of people and had a buzzing and lively atmosphere. Like the great terrace once you return from skiing. I noticed that a lot of non-hotel guests drop by as the walking trail is next to the hotel. The service is good but special thanks to Michelle. She introduced herself and was very service oriented. She provided clear communication e.g. when something went wrong in the kitchen and we needed to wait (not that this often occurred). On Tuesday there is no dinner served so you need to go out. On Thursday there is fondue (which I personally do not like but others might). The family atmosphere is also reflected by the fact that all guests greet each other (not common in Lech in other hotels I know by experience). During our week the majority of the guests were German speaking. The hotel offers a garage and a car port, which is included. It is located a 10 minutes walk from the centre which we did not mind as we always use the ski depot of Strolz to store our skies. If you opt for not doing this, you can partly ski to the centre as you need to cross some roads. Overall we had a pleasant week and can highly recommend...
