Best experience we ever had, highly recommended!
To begin with, Hallstatt is a very beautiful, dreamy village in Austria. The size of the village is perfect for those who wish to relax and spend there New Year Eve.
Boutique hotel Strand Hallstatt is exceptional, by far the most convenient accommodation someone can choose. You can be in the centre of the town, but at the same time enjoy the calmness by the Lake. It’s a 10 rooms brand new boutique hotel with an astonishing balcony view, a well executed room layout, a perfectly equipped common kitchen and a huge parking space for such a small village! The owner’s warm welcome and continuous advice and support was unparalleled. She was working non-stop to make us enjoy our holidays in the maximum. The breakfast was really tasty and well balanced quantity - no exaggerations!
Despite being very picky with our accommodations, I cannot recommend anything to this boutique hotel, outstanding accommodation - value for money - spotless!
Last but not least, I cannot thank Mrs Vasquez enough for her help throughout our proposal preparations! She was told last minute and despite the festive days busy schedule she helped me a lot! Perfect spot for proposals guys!
Me and my fiancé will definitely visit you again and hopefully this becomes our yearly traditional getaway!
Excellent job, keep going and have a...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at the Botiquehotel Strand Hallstatt (4/9 to 4/13).
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the main part of Hallstatt which is perfect if you have your own vehicle because the streets in town are narrow. I repeatedly saw tourists being dropped off by tour bus at the southern end of the town and carrying their luggage to one of the in-town hotels. There's a parking lot on the side that can easily accommodate eight vehicles.
The elevator can be accessed from the outside with your key card. The 2nd floor has a coffee/tea station and a kitchen if you want to cook yourself. The 3rd floor has a balcony facing the mountains of the Dachstein region. All the rooms face the lake. My room was very spacious, clean and had a balcony that's great for relaxing and enjoying the lakeside view.
Sybil is the manager/host of the the Botiquehotel Strand Hallstatt. She's a local native of Hallstatt and had so much insight into the area and Austria in general. The weather during my stay was mostly rainy so she was able to recommend which places to visit depending on weather (Five Fingers, Gosausee Lakes, National Park Badgastein, Hallstatt salt mines, Salzburg/Salzburg Lakes).
If you're planning on staying in Hallstatt, make sure you consider Sybil and the Botiquehotel...
Read moreYes, this hotel is one of the priciest you can choose in Hallstatt, but here is why:
The suites are big, with modern interior, and full of light due to the glass paneling across the entire balcony
The VIEW from the balcony - I would be willing to bet that the view here is the most picturesque in all of Salzkammergut. You can see the entire Hallstätter Lake, to your left the town of Hallstatt, straight ahead Castle Grub, and a bit to the right the nearby town of Obertraun. In the background there is a majestic mountain range with white tops and mysterious fog in the morning. There are even two pull-out lounge chairs on the balcony for the ultimate relaxation session.
There is a private beach/access to the lake for daydreaming or finding inspiration.
The hotel is run with great passion and positive attitude of Mrs Vasquez and her team of maids. We felt very welcome and pampered by the entire team. Mrs Vasquez even recommended sightseeing spots in the vicinity, and arranged a private tour of Hallstatt for me and my partner.
I rarely go on vacation, but when I do I want something relaxing and breathtaking, and this little boutique hotel with its location and amazing view definitely ticks all boxes on my list. I will...
