This is definitely NOT a place to go if you are very hungry, specially not for dinner. This is best for people who don't eat much or are just looking for a place to drink and have a munch. The service was also not what I was expecting. We were there as a group and it took more than 30 min for someone to finally come and ask us "how we were doing". It was really strange as the waiter who attended to us felt like he was there more to make friends and do some small talk than taking our orders. When we were finally giving him our orders he was completely lost and then left because he only thought of getting a notepad to write down at that time. There was another person that was supposed to handle our table but she wasn't the nicest as well and we really felt like we were a bother to her. The portions were small and not too generous, but for the appetizer it had a good amount of hummus but not enough crackers so by a couple of bites there were only dip left. When we tried to ask for some more bread, the waiter said they didn't have any and so we asked for some more of those crackers. The waiter came back and gave us 2 pieces of crackers for a full table. We honestly didn't know if they were mocking us or were just really stingy so we didn't eat it. By the time the main meal arrived we were again surprised by the quantity given. Our main dish was actually a side dish and did not go well with the served vegetables. We had carbonnade flamande with some sort of hummus/ mash with corn, boiled radished that smelled fermented but tasted like dirty water and bitter. It also had one tempura like mushroom and some stale had to chew cracker bread. The dessert was ok and I think it was the only thing everyone liked and ate.The offered food are mostly vegetables, but our meals were not coherent . I don't know if the rest of the menu is like this, but I was not too convinced and I prefer eating my vegetables the classic way. They also offer mocktails too if you do not drink alcohol, but be prepared to pay more than 10€ for one. Needless to say we left this place...

I've been folllowing Serra for a long time on Instagram and was really looking forward eating there for quite some time now. We went to dinner last night with a group of friends. I normally never write a review on a restaurant but we were so dissapointed that i feel the need to "warn" other people.

The location and interior are absolutely stunning! However... we all left hungry.. the main courses, especially the dish with fish and artichoque were so small they felt like starters.. for 23euro you receive a small piece of fish,2(?!) mussels and a small bowl of dhal which was not even filled half. My dish had 2 small artichoque hearts, half a red beet and half a white beet with pesto.. i literally finished the plate in 3 minutes... the pizza and burger portion were normal size but very blend in flavour.

When we complained about the dishes the waitress told us the big table next to us complained as well.. she then told us the dish prices are really expensive because you pay for the interior and the location (something on being in the europian heart of Brussels where people will pay more at a restaurant) really?!? Additionally, the charged us 23euro more in alcoholic drinks which we never ordered. Luckily we spotted the error before we actually paid the bill.

What a way to let your customers feel completely ripped off.. dont be fooled by the charming interior people.. maybe if you go for a drink in the cafe it is oke but i would not recommend the restaurant Garden Kitchen at all since we left hungry and...

Overall, an awful experience. We went in a group for a business lunch, and the "business menu" consisted of a lukewarm soup, 7 gnocchi in a greasy sauce, and added protein was half a sausage in mustard sauce (see the photo of this feast). The quantity was for half a person, and taste was equally bad, and they value this at 37 euros. The service was slow to serve, and slow to clean the tables. No dessert, just coffee from the machine we had to queue for, due to size of our group. They didn't even have sugar by the coffee machine, you had to ask for it at the bar. If you have the chance to avoid this place, please take it. McDonald's is a gastronomic delight compared to this restaurant. One-star review is actually a compliment, since zero-star is not available option.

Serra in Brussels is a delightful find located within Hotel Indigo, blending a lush garden vibe with a chic urban setting. The café section, Urban Picnic, offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for coffee, tea, or a casual meal. While I only tried the masala chai, which was warm and comforting, I couldn’t help but admire their daily specials and healthy food options, all made fresh each day. The café’s green, eco-conscious ethos is evident throughout, and it’s a lovely spot to relax in the city centre. Though I only had a quick drink, the food looked exceptional and I’m definitely coming back to try their menu. Perfect for anyone who loves healthy, sustainable dining with a touch of style.
