Riale Vilamar Copacabana — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata do Rio de Janeiro

Myself and a friend spent nearly three weeks here and for the cost it was exceptional.|From top to bottom this place was amazing value for money. |The rooms were always spotless, the breakfasts were always tasty, the facilities were top quality and the staff were even better.|We ended up spending lots of time at the hotel on the roof in the pool and sauna as it was so comfortable and we felt really relaxed despite have the copacobana so close. We went across to the exceptional gym that was being used while the hotels was being refurbished, this was great also.|The main observation from us was that although all these facilities was outstanding, without the staff this would not be 5 star.|That leads me onto the staff|Mirla, Valéria and the team were great on breakfast. |All the receptionist had great knowledge, were so friendly and helpful. |The cleaners were fantastic, although I didn't get there names they really took care in what they did.|Our favourites were Echilley (bar maid) and Luis (lifeguard) they made the atmosphere around the pool are so much fun, they were constantly laughing and made for great conversation. Echilleys ciaprinihas were incredible as was her general vibe, Luis was always on hand to help with the sauna when needed, always provided us with towels and also saved someone that was struggling in the pool on one occasion.|What a team, I can't wait to go back again, although I want to keep it quiet so prices stay down, praise where it is due. |Thanks again to...

We were overly satisfied from the amenities, nice room, the service and staff were really good and friendly, safe/secure and clean. Elevators were convenient enough and the pool rooftop bar even though it was not something remarkable at least you have the option to get a view from the 15th floor, which was nice!

I loved the shower space and water pressure. Toilet should have slightly better air recycle system though.

Beds were decent, not bad - not super good. Breakfast was also decent - you dont really have high expectations. It was good enough for us.

I would have put 5 stars but ... BIG BIG issue was the A/C! For Gods sake...please replace these old A/C machines with new ones. I dont even remember having so old A/Cs, even if I stayed in older and 1-star hotels! Even if the A/C was shut off, it kept making noises and sounds and it was really not easy to sleep. Just buy new ones, cause it just ruins your hotel's reputation really! It...

Feels like this hotel is stuck in 1980 or something. Overall it is tolerable except the very old conditioning system that produces constant noise like a tractor and it’s not possible to turn it off. This thing is simply placed in the hole that is not isolated, you can actually see straight to the street.

When I’ve asked to do something about the noise or give another room because it is hard to sleep they reacted well but nothing was done except promises… they just forgot and even after reminding two times nothing was done except another promises. Silent ignorance until we left.

Apart from this probably only one person speaks English, hard to communicate.

The location is good: a supermarket nearby and close to the beach. The breakfast is also fine.

This was a first time visit to Rio, so I’m not sure if this is normal, otherwise I strongly recommend to stay in...
