My girlfriend and I were very unimpressed by this hotel and were very happy to leave at end of our reservation.
● the lobby of the hotel is very dark and uninviting. ●the rooms look as the pictures show except they're much darker and uninviting and there are no drawers to put your clothes in if you have an extended stay. ●the staff make you feel very unwelcomed and almost like you're a burden to them by being there. The front desk staff seem very fake and insincere when they speak to you. You feel unwelcome even when you go to breakfast in the restaurant due to the unfriendly or neutral stares by staff. Special mention to one room service staff member that was very friendly and welcoming. ● our shower head was a waterfall type but sprayed in directions ●the bathroom is designed poorly. Shower door opens into the shower and you have to sneak between it and the wall to get in the shower. The faucet for the sink is behind and below the sink which is inconvenient. ●the swimmimg pool closes at 5pm so if you're out past that time, dont look forward to unwinding poolside.
We dreaded going back to Ritz everyday after our outings. In the end, we rented a car and found ourselves another hotel to stay in for the last two days and we had a fabulous time there, confirming that it's the bad energy from the hotel that was really affecting us. At the end we returned only to grab our suitcases and immediately checkout.
Under no circumstances will we recommend this hotel to anyone we care about, not even people we might...
Read moreThe hotel is pretty good, overall. The room is relatively big, however, the bathroom smells like an open sewage. The service was good, until we checked out. They didn't get a credit card on file or a security deposit, but hit us with a water bill at the end. There were no prices or any information that the water is for an additional charge, however, there was a note regarding the coffee charges. So, we didn't drink any coffee as the prices were way too high, but we did drink water. The bill was almost 50 USD, for 21 bottles of water and 2 beers that we had during our stay. We started complaining that we were never informed about additional charges and why there was a price list for coffee but not for anything else as well. Their answer was: well, nobody complained until now, so why are you complaining? Please pay. We went back and forth with the manager for about an hour so they took down the bill cost by 50%, and we paid the rest. It was very unprofessional they way the manager handled the situation, so I will never stay with that hotel. We also talked with other hotel guests, and they were never informed either and they were very shocked about this fraudulent business behavior. Do...
Read moreThe Ritz is a clean and cute hotel, right by the beach and main city area; it is also near the popular theater. The location is great, you can just walk to the beach and boardwalk, and can also walk along different main streets filled with restaurants and stores. Victor, one of the front desk concierges, was SO helpful!! He was the main highlight of that hotel. He made sure we knew of the important and fun places to visit, was very accommodating and thoughtful when we needed help with something, and always made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. He also always made sure to give us great recommendations for shows, tours, and places to eat. He never hesitated to help. ||The hotel itself is really nice, clean, and has spacious rooms. There was a wide variety of foods for breakfast offered (including veggie options), and the area for food has a great view of the beach, so that was a nice bonus. The staff are also very kind, and want to make sure you are helped and having...
