Pro:| - The breakfast was great with reasonable hot and cold variety, although the same every day| - The bed was comfortable| - Location is good, if you need to be in that part of SP. Next to a mall, near metro, quick to get ubers.||Cons (these are things I would usually expect to find in a 4* business hotel):|- No drinking water in the rooms - you need to buy bottles from the mini bar or go out and buy your own. The staff said not to drink the tap water.| - No coffee / tea provided in the room to make your own - you have to buy it from room service if you want it.| - No iron provided in the room - but there is a laundry service with expensive ironing| - The magnetic stripe key systems are really old and stop working frequently. I had to replace my key 4 times as it stopped working for the lift or room.| - No one explains how to access the internet when you check in, you need to call and ask. Hint - the room number for login needs 4 digits, so room 611 would be 0611| - Almost no toiletries provided, just basic soap/shampoo. Make sure you bring your own toothbrush/shaving/comb etc||The hotel could be a good choice if the location is important for you, and the cons I mentioned are not much of an issue for you. If you just need a place to sleep and eat breakfast, then it is fine.||Hint - if you stay here, ask for a room away from the lifts. The lifts are noisy, and the sound of people moving their bags, and having conversations near the lifts really carries.||Note - there is images on TA of the rooms. I think these are mostly the suites or premium rooms. The standard rooms look much older.||I might stay here again, if I had to be in this area. But i would really prefer a place that doesn't have the cons listed.......|In fairness, my comparison is based on other business hotels I have stayed at around the world. I don't have a lot of experience with Brazilian hotels, maybe some of these points are standard at 3-4* hotels...
Read moreStayed there last week for 2 days. Unbelievably bad. After my horror stay at Wyndham Tryp Paraíso I decided trying this one, being Wyndham diamond member. Forget about it. Same lack of quality and staff training. These aren’t hotels even near to international standards, except for charging high prices. Staff is useless, they never received any training on everything apparently. Too busy eating or staring into their smart phones (haha!) It’s like 5 year olds are playing hotel reception . Even a 5 year old would deliver a better result. They never heard of Wyndham status, try to sell you a free suite upgrade and when you finally explained to them (in flawless Portuguese) why it’s free and not to be questioned they already forgot it all. My good, where do they find staff like this? Useless! Then you get to the cramped ’upgraded’ room: old, smelly, dirty-ish you’re in for another shock. Absolutely state of the art when you live in 1962! More expensive than a bungalow in the Maldives for a cave like this? Fortunately I did day by day refundable bookings, so after 2 days I canceled and just chose a 50$ ibis around the corner. At least you know how these hotels look and they can’t disappoint you like a 250$ cave like this disgusting’Wyndham’ circus ‘hotel’. Stay far away from any Wyndham...
Read moreI was very well received on checkin by Marianna very efficient and friendly speaking a very good english - Erick was also helpfull when I asked to change of room and he also speak a very good english ! Last but not least is William of Guest Relations extremely kind friendly and efficient when looking for suggestions to go around town (bars and restaurants) - a big satisfaction !|One little remark : no free water in the hotel except a ridiculous small pack given upon arrival it is not even a bottle with a tap that you can close of you don’t drink it all ! I found that shocking no bottle of water in the room (except in the fridge but then there is a charge but nowhere there is a price list for the fridge or little things to eat that are on the table in the room - so if I want water I have to pay for it and I don’t lnow how much it costs!) so please provide in the rception aera a big water tank with glasses that we can drink whenever thisrty and provide each gest a real water bottle in the room and mot this ridiculous small pack which once opened you have to drink it otherwise it...
