The receptionist of this hotel is promising a good room for me at the top floor if I don't taking the one that l have been booked. If l agree l have to except no windows, otherwise l should have the same standard that I have been booked. Moreover it will be very silent in the room he told me. But in day- and night-time the staff is lingering in front of the door of the room and is was very noisy nearly all time. The room itself was in a very bad condition: the closet falling apart, the sink was not fixed at all and nearly falling onto the floor when leaning on it (not hard to imagine who needs to pay the sink if it's really falling down). Only 3 minutes after checking the room l told the receptionist that I don't want to stay in this room, but apparently in this short period already someone else moved into the room that I have been booked. A lie. In 3 days this receptionist was not able to organise that someone removing the rubbish, that was just in front of the door of the room and the mattress of the bed was at least 20 y.o. The WiFi was unreliable. To be fair, the room was quite clean and the rest of the staff was ok, especially the staff of the restaurant as well as the food and drinks (draft beer for 0,50 USD). Anyway, go 20 meter into the next road and book a room in Nawin Palace Guesthouse for nearly the same price and you will definitely making the much better choice. Moreover they accepting paying by credit card without extra charge, contrary to Golden Noura Villa, who are charging 5%(!), although they have a sign : 'we prefer Visa'. Go to Golden Noura Villa-Pub & Restaurant for a beer or food, but better staying...

I enjoyed an extended stay at the Golden Noura Villa and I am glad that I did. I leave feeling like family. I was welcomed by the staff and given the utmost attention to anything I needed. The staff are awesome and go out of their way to help in any way. David is a gracious and generous man who is the hotel waiter, bartender and all around great guy. While I was there, I was able to extend my Visa with absolutely no problems. I also contracted for the bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap through the front desk. Everything you need is available to you here. The restaurant is amazingly good and the prices are much cheaper than you will find only a few blocks away at the Riverside and the Street 136 bar area. The view is amazing overlooking the Palace grounds and the Riverside. But the best view is from the street side tables where you can enjoy 50 cent beers and watch all the interesting locals and tourists go by. But you never know what you might see from the street side tables. I know that I will come back to the Golden Noura Villa in the future. We're...

The location of this place is amazing, but unfortunately, everything else was very disappointing. The room and facilities were dirty and moldy, and after just the first night we were already coughing from the mold and the smoke drifting in from people smoking on the balcony. The balcony was right next to ours, so we could also hear people talking and laughing loudly even past 1 AM, which made it impossible to sleep.

We did not feel safe at all, as the room didn’t seem secure, so much so that I had to place a chair against the door to feel somewhat protected from possible intruders. There was no housekeeping service, the food looked unappetizing and was overpriced, and the stairways and hallways were dim and unsettling, almost like a haunted house.

Overall, the service and condition of this place were depressing. It was the worst travel experience we’ve had, and we will definitely not be coming back. You truly get what you pay for.

I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and either make real improvements or consider...
