From California I've eaten plenty of VERY "happy" foods. My expectations were low. My wife and I got a large "very happy" pizza, a "happy" smoothie and a "very happy" smoothie. I weigh about 73k wife's about 45k. Accordingly I ate about 2/3 of the pizza although we split both shakes evenly. To be fair I think we had only eaten a fruit shake each before our happy meal so we were on rather empty stomachs. I think we crossed the line with the shakes and would have been fine with the pizza alone. My wife had to return home after the second hour, vomited twice and was frightened for her health. I had a great night but I was unable to get out of bed the next day. Suffice to say be careful how much you eat. As for flavour, I think the seasoning tasted delicious in our mango and avocado shakes. The pizzas had more merit for their seasoning than their taste. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the touristy location and there's no added charge for the seasoning. I'd recommend it to friends but...
Read moreso someone else mentioned this five days ago that they got food poisoning and I feel like that as well. My wife was OK. I have food poisoning the entire next day really bad and I've even tried a lot of natural treatments and I'm still having it. It's awful and the pizza did not even taste that good. There is some potency to the happy, but I'm not sure why I'm getting food poisoning from food like this. my wife only had one slice and she is from the Philippines so perhaps she has more of a natural immunity.. I lived in Philippines for nine months and then Thailand for one month before I got here to Cambodia though so I should already kind of be somewhat immune or whatever you wanna call it. I've had food poisoning quite a few other times it seems pretty common Southeast Asia. I wish they would get better about their food safety things like that and I'm not sure why someone else here was matching with the kitchen was really close to...
Read moreEveryone is going to have their own individual experience when it comes to places like these in SE Asia. I ordered a small pizza with what the lady constituted is the "medium" amount of medicinal. She insisted that I must pay first which I quietly and politely questioned but eventually aquiesced to. I walked myself back to my hotel room where I anxiously scarfed the pizza down. After an hour and no altered state of feeling whatsoever I knew I got fooled. Others will go and get what they paid for and I'm glad for them but I can't help but wonder what was their justification to be this petty towards me? I tried to speak Khmr and NOT ONCE did I raise my tone of voice nor convey body language/eye-contact that Is considered threatening or rude by Cambodian-standards. I'm an Asian-American mixed race individual and can't help but wonder if it's because I am often assumed Chinese that that could have been...
