The location is excellent. Next to Pub Street/Old market. ||There are many super markets, lovely restaurants and exchanges. ||||Amenity: coffee sachet, tooth brush, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner||TV is equipped but no connection when I stayed.||Towel, bathrobe are provided.||AC works excellently.||Wi Fi speed is great, I had no issue.||A Hair dryer is provided.||There is a safe box but I didn't use it.||Shower has no issue. Water pressure is OK and there is hot/warm water running.||There is no elevator. (3 storey hotel)||There is a smoking space.||The Swimming pool is cool.||||||If you don't hang the "clean the room" sign on the door, no one will clean your room. If you want daily cleaning service, you should hang it.||If someone on the same floor bangs the door, it really echoes, you might find it noisy. My first night was actually noisy because some guests were chatting on the corridor.||No breakfast is served as of March 2022. The restaurant isn't functioning due to the aftermath of COVID-19. You might be able to buy canned drinks or bottled beer, though.||There is a cafe (Bakong) close to the hotel that is open at 0630AM. ||There is coffee stand just in front of hotel (US$1, latte) but I can't tell what time they are open. Early enough, though.||There is a local eatery right next to the hotel, which is open at 0700AM. That is where you can try borbor, which is a typical Khmer breakfast.||||||They can arrange tours. Read moreI had booked pleasant villa (on the strength of location, surrounding greenery and a pool for post temple dips) but when we arrived they were in the middle of renovating so asked if I would prefer to go to glow inn close to the centre. So glad I said yes - architecturally glow inn is the opposite of pleasant villa but the service location and friendliness of staff made up for everything. It’s a new build less than 3 mins from pub street and downtown but with a nice (if spartan) pool area, helpful staff (week we’ll see if those postcards ever get there!) and neat rooms with well provisioned wet room. Water topped up daily by the efficient cleaning staff. |As it rainy season I was in that room more than usual and happy with it at the very good price. Most guests I met were Cambodian. |Not 5 star review due to a couple of gripes - the pool restaurant area is pretty spartan and so feels a bit bleak and makeshift, the food is not brilliant particularly given the wealth of food when you step out. Balanced against this a group of young Cambodians asked for a got pizza delivered to their table and other snacks from local street vendors for a big dinner that the hotel facilitated |- despite me being on a stick no one offers to help me take bag to or from my room up on the first floor - no lift and I had rather hoped they might move me to a ground floor room (tho then everyone would have to walk PST my door on the way to their rooms and, I think there were no windows. Ideal rooms are probably upstairs or...
Read moreExcellent location, excellent service, outstanding hospitality! Narong at reception desk help me a lot: from finding best tasty restaurant, to organise a regular 3 days itinerary for temple visit in just two days. Even more - I want to visit one temple which is not in regular route and he put in that standard long visit list free of charge. A rooms are well organised, excellent point is that a electricity card can be separated from room key so after a long hot February day (mine days were very long) it’s marvellous when you come to chilled room, go to swimming pull, take a shower and jump to a swimming pool! Priceless! A two brothers, Sambok and Sombo, both a tuk-tuk drivers despite of lack of English did marvellous job with such a demanding customer like I am. One night I came very late (I hate tourist parties so have my way throughout the night) and still didn’t feel tired for bed - I ask a reception guy can I have a sit at table close to swimming pool and read something on my iPad, he turn lights on and ventilator also and even more - I can use a swimming pool. I asked a little awkward question - can I drink a big beers and because they don’t have it - is it ok if I get it from a store - and they said - no worry, that’s okay. Unbelievable! I spent a lot of times to a different hotels and different countries, even high class hotels, but that hospitality and opportunity to create holiday by your own - with their help it’s for more then 5 stars. Guys from Glow Inn is outstanding! Highly...
