Mountain View Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Banff

We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Edwina and Kevan. They are the nicest couple. So friendly and helpful. We stayed in the larger unit and had a double bedroom, private bathroom and private sitting room. We also had a beautiful patio with flowers and garden furniture. We shared the kitchen with a delightful Australian couple. So nice to meet you Gary and Michelle. ||Everything was immaculately clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. The bedding was crisp and fresh and the towels clean and fluffy. The food and fruit provided for breakfast was perfect.||Banff is a really cute town and there are many restaurants within a five minute walk. We took Edwina’s recommendation and enjoyed delicious dinners at Earl’s and on our second night at the Irish pub - cant remember the name. After dinner we loved sitting on the patio with the amazing mountain view. Breakfast too!||Dont miss Lake Louise ( do the park and ride) and Lake Minnewanka. We stayed here two nights. On the day we were to arrive we hit a deer with the car and drove slowly to Mountain View. The owner, Edwina, did so much for us over and above providing a great place to stay. Our cell wasn't working and she let us use hers. She directed us to a cell service provider so we could get our phone working. And she gave us numerous options for finding someone to service our car so we could drive back home safely. She offered to follow us to an auto service center, in her car, in case we had trouble (which thankfully we didn't need).||||The property was beautiful with a peaceful back patio that we very much needed in a difficult situation. We had a bedroom with a bathroom and a sitting room with a shared kitchen. The location was great, especially for us, as we could easily walk into the city of Banff, including all of the public transportation that can take you around town as well as to Lake Louise.||||You won't get this kind of service...

Mountain View is situated about 400m from Banff Avenue, the main shopping and restaurant street. We were able to leave the car for the day at the b&b to walk local trails to Bow Falls, Vermillion Lakes and all local restaurants.||Edwina greeted us warmly and provided useful advice on local restaurants and hikes. Our room consisted of a cosy bedroom with queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom and a small lounge with tv. Plenty of hanging and drawer storage was well received. The only negative was the rather thin walls and ceiling which leaked noise at times eg. our neighbours in the next room snored through the night.||Breakfast was "do it yourself" in the shared kitchen with plenty of bagels, bread, muffins, yoghurt, bananas, cereals,...
