Great name with zero integrity. Good Earth would lead you to believe that the products are ethical and good for you, but instead, the dairy products ts come from caged hens and warehoused, hormone injected animals... which means the animals are not allowed to room free for the goodness of their health, our health, or the health of our planet.
Having chosen the bean burrito wrap, I was looking forward to it, but the taste of the egg and a strange feeling made me ask if the eggs were free range and organic. None of the servers knew, and then they told me who supplied their foods - which are pre-made and then delivered from Calagary 'to save time in a busy cafe'.
To choose a name such as Good Earth and provide food and drinks that have nothing to do with good earth ethics is misleading, deceptive, and fraudulent.
If you don't care about your health, the health and wellbeing of animals or the Earth, then great, but for those who do care about where their food comes from and animal welfare, I'd stay as far away from this place as possible, no matter how great the vibe and service is... which when you come to think of it, isn't an informed service because the service team don't care about the food they serve because as one of the team told me, "I'm just trying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe customer was the issue, not the staff.
Just sat and listened to the most entitled person leave an angry review about something to do with the wrong order.
They ordered some mochc-choca-rocha order which was so convoluted in the middle of a busy morning rush hour I'd have struggled to take the order with a straight face and then the customer was stunned when the order was slightly wrong.
What they failed to mention is how disgustingly they spoke to the staff and then relished posting a nasty review after the staff responded and a calm, level headed and appropriate manner. They then proceed to read this review out loud to their peers looking for other cruel things to add. They did get a replacement by staff yet continued to look at them and make remarks. This is the first instance of genuine meanness I've seen in Canada and it saddens me it's happened in such a beautiful spot.
Staff were pleasant and polite to myself and other customers and my order was delicious and a reasonable price. The staff are ovbiously overworked and simple mistakes happen, Banff is a busy tourist town, the attitude of the customer in this case was the issue.
Also lovely view...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an incredibly frustrating experience at this coffee shop. Yesterday, I ordered a hot chocolate but forgot to mention that Iām lactose intolerant and needed oat milk. Once I remembered, I told the staff before paying, but the employee told me it was too late since the drink was already being made. I was shocked that they couldnāt make a simple adjustment, especially since I hadnāt paid yet. I ended up having to decline the drink because I canāt have milk, and instead of offering a solution, the staff just said, āOkay,ā with no effort to resolve the situation.
I still paid $5 for a drink I couldnāt drink, and when I asked if I could have hot water instead, I was told Iād be charged an additional 25 cents for the cup. I had already paid for the drink, which was thrown away, yet they couldnāt even give me a simple cup of hot water. Despite there being multiple staff members present, no one was willing to help or offer a solution. This experience left me incredibly disappointed and frustrated. If you're looking for good customer service and empathy, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Itās not...
