It's a small boutique hotel close to the river and an easy walk to most attractions. Stayed in the single room (which is a single bed) on the ground floor. The room was peacefully quiet, spacious with a little kitchenette, bathroom and window facing the courtyard. The bed was comfortable with crisp white hotel sheets. It's tastefully decorated in monochrome tones. There is wifi available but found it to be weak and cut out at times. There's a TV with lots of channels - few in English and mostly dubbed American TV shows and local channels. There is a safe in the room - handy to store passports and valuables. The hotel is very safe and quiet. Staff were very helpful providing a local map, organising tours, and being available for questions. I asked for an iron. The breakfast is very basic, make your own, and akin to a traditional light South American breakfast. Tea bag, instant coffee satchel, sugar, 2 slices of brioche style sliced bread, juice, butter, jam and an egg. The Instant coffee is popular in Chile and it's often black. It's not my things so I got coffee out, but did enjoy the egg and juice. There is a small neighbourhood supermarket across the road that has basics - including milk. They organised a day tour. It was good - but I would check Tripadvisor for a more contemporary tour/guide. On the last day they organised the cab back to the airport and also the price. I found it a lovely easy place to stay for a short trip in Santiago. I liked that it was small and friendly with local...
Read moreWe have not often been in a hotel for this poor price-quality ratio and with such lousy service.
The hotel is at a higher price point, not clean, and located in an relatively unsafe area. When checking in, we had to provide a downpayment of 100 USD because 'we can't be trusted to keep the room proper'. Moreover, the breakfast is a joke with 2 dry pieces of untoasted bread, cheap marmalade and a RAW egg (you have to boil it yourself I guess) which you can enjoy next to your bed. We received 1 day of shampoo, after we were sent off to a nearby supermarket to get it ourselves. Lastly, the view was a tall building about 10 meters next to our room.
Overall, the experience was so bad that we decided to move to another hotel while the hotel supervisor was friendly enough to charge us for the full three days, even after we have voiced our concerns, examplifying the incredibly poor level of service. We would recommend anyone to save your money by not going to Apart Hotel B. We are currently staying in another hotel for about the same money with a MUCH better experience within a 10 minute walk of the center plaza.
The hotel supervisor, after reading this, will most likely write a comment on my review where she disagrees, like she does with many of the...
Read moreOur stay at Apart Hotel B was highly disappointing. Despite being expensive, the hotel was dirty and is located in an unsafe area.|The breakfast was inadequate, consisting of a slice of dry bread, cheap marmalade, a raw egg (you must boil it yourself) and disgusting powder coffee. We received only one day's worth of shampoo and were told to buy more ourselves in a supermarket nearby. The view from our room was a nearby tall building.|We were also asked to make a down payment of 100 usd because the hotel doesn’t trust us to keep the room proper. We didn’t have a working credit card at the moment of the check in and proposed to make this ridiculous downpayment we have almost never seen in the other hotels, the day after. The supervisor however didn’t want to hear of it and we were obliged to pay the amount in cash prior to our check in. No check in otherwise.|After voicing our concerns, we were still charged for the full three days. We still didn’t want to stay in this joke “hotel” they don’t know a thing about being a bit client -oriented and moved to a better hotel for the same price in a good area with great breakfast and free toiletries. Without any down payment btw. Avoid Apart Hotel B and...
