I think this hotel definitely deserves a solid good rating for the staffs and service. Excellent breakfast and operation hours (from 0830 to 1200). Also the check-out is not so early!
This boutique hotel used to be a big house. The decorations are good. There are many small interior design elements to discover within the house. The house also has two balconies on 2nd and 3rd floor each which show a good sunset and night view.
24hr self service to coffee, tea and small snacks.
The small downs sides for me were : our room little too small. Difficult to have two large luggages to be opened. the shower was too weak the bathroom light was too weak quality of shampoo, conditioner, towel was a bit on the low side. internet was weak in our room
But despite the small down sides, there were much more to appreciate from this hotel. The staffs are knowledgeable, professional, and kind; so willing to help the guests all the time.
I highly recommend this hotel for tour Valparaiso stay. There are laundry, restaurant, coffee shop near by -- all in...
Read moreWe checked in and did not find the room we were offered appealing: it was hot (no AC and no fan), the balcony had vegetation that was overgrown and looked unkempt, with dirty cushions on the patio chairs and bugs flying around (so not able to enjoy the balcony nor to keep the windows opened for fresh air, due to lack of a mosquito screen). In a nutshell, not comfy. The manager was very kind and understanding, though, and offered not to charge us for our two nights booked there, which was much appreciated. Still, I insisted on being fair to them and offered to pay for the first night, which the manager gladly accepted. I think it is a beautiful house with kind staff, but on a hot day some of the rooms might turn out to be unfit for a comfortable, relaxing stay - at least that was the case for us. We were able to find more suitable accommodation down the hill and were grateful for the hotel manager's...
Read moreWe originally booked at a different hotel but when we arrived in Valparaiso, there was a mix up in the booking and there was no room for us. They recommended Acobtraluz boutique hotel and they graciously took us in last minute thankfully, otherwise we would have been stuck in the streets with no where to stay!
I love the old charm of the building and our room had a gorgeous view of Valpo. We enjoyed peaceful complimentary breakfast, some days on our balcony and sometimes on their beautiful terrace. It felt like we staying a place back in time. The service was top notch. We were always cared for and attended to. It felt very personable. Perfect for the couple that wants a relaxing, romantic, peaceful stay or the lone backpacker that wants to be central to Cerro Alegre and experience the old charm...
