Visiting the MGM Grand Resort in Macau was an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blended luxury, entertainment, and art. Located on the Cotai Strip, the resort is one of Macau’s most iconic landmarks, known for its opulent design, world-class amenities, and vibrant atmosphere. As I entered the grand lobby, I was immediately captivated by the stunning architecture. The soaring atrium, with its glass ceiling and golden accents, created a sense of grandeur and elegance. The resort's art installations, including the famous "Grande Praça," a European-inspired plaza featuring vibrant murals and sculptures, added a unique cultural touch, making the space feel like more than just a hotel—it was a gallery of art and design. My stay at the MGM Grand was marked by exceptional comfort. The room was spacious and elegantly furnished, offering breathtaking views of the Cotai skyline and the South China Sea. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the luxurious bathroom amenities, was designed to provide the utmost relaxation and indulgence. The resort’s dining options were a highlight of the visit. I indulged in a variety of cuisines at the resort’s restaurants, ranging from Michelin-starred fine dining to casual, yet exquisite, international fare. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavor was remarkable, making each meal a culinary journey. Entertainment at MGM Grand is unparalleled. I spent an evening at the casino, which was as thrilling as it was glamorous, offering a wide array of games in a vibrant, yet sophisticated setting. The resort also features numerous bars, lounges, and theaters, where I enjoyed live performances and a lively nightlife scene. A visit to the MGM Grand Resort in Macau is not just a stay, but a comprehensive experience that combines luxury, culture, and entertainment, making it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Macau.

Magnificent on every level. The main void with massive skylight and giant screens allow us to have different experiences throughout the day. The perfectly situated Janice Wong flagship bistro allows us to take in the breathtaking sights with dishes, drinks and desserts that taste better than their photos. Lighting, music and content were all thought out perfectly to lift even the most sombre moods. There are 3 distinctly different lobbies each with a unique character: Main, Emerald and Lion Lobby. I find myself liking the Emerald lobby best as it was nothing I've seen. Jade colored marbles interspersed with precious carpets from dynasties ago. It was posh without being loud. The lion Lobby features lion statues with many artists' interpretations. The main lobby's glass lighting was mesmerizing too. Curated shops and stellar restaurants also add irresistible appeal to this relatively new but instant classic addition to Cotai Strip.

About 200 USD per night, booked via travel agency. Upon arrival non smoking room with King size bed were unavailable, they asked us to take a smoking room or have to wait till 4pm (we arrived at 3). Check in reception from shuttle bus area felt like it was a 2 to 3 star hotel. Check-in time was also slow for everyone (comparing to other hotels in the area, Wynn palace, Sheraton..). Finally after arriving for an hour, we had to go to the main lobby (service was better at the main lobby) to pick up the key. New decor, room is well designed, but doesn't really stand out from its competition.

I've stayed in MGM Las Vegas before but this brand new MGM Cotai definitely is 10x better. First off, the hotel smells very nice. My 4 y/o daughter even asked me to inquire if they sell their fragrance. Next you'll be amazed by the Spectacle at the atrium connected to the main lobby. It's basically a massive 25-screen LED array spanning the atrium's 900-meter parameter. So 360 degree of awesomeness. We are here end of November so the theme is Christmas instead of their regular digital arts by worlds renowned artists. In the daytime, it didn't feel as wow but at night, it was amazing! Definitely spend at least 10 minutes to soak it all in. However I still like the Aquarium at MGM Macau better. Unfortunately MGM Theatre is still not opened yet during our stay :(

If I have to mention the cons, it is because the room wasn't ready when we arrived at 1.30pm (I know, I know, check in time is supposed to be 3pm) and when we came back at 3.30pm, there's only 1 room available so we can't pick our floor of preference or its proximity to the elevator. When we arrived on our floor, we were greeted by a couple of friendly staff (not sure if they're from housekeeping because he wasn't doing the cleaning). I have to give a shout out to ShaoWei from 3rd floor who helps us with our luggage once he saw us juggling between 2 kids and 3 bags, he then dropped off 2 extra bath towels & slippers knowing that the room only comes with 2 (would be nice if there are more towels by default), and when I asked for extra laundry bag and bubble bath gel for kiddos which mgm unfortunately doesn't carry, he offered bath salts for mommy instead and gave me extra shopping bags together with the laundry bag. After we settle down around 5pm, the door bell rings and turned out it's complimentary dessert delivery for kiddos & they even gave us a stuffed lion! What a nice surprise. But it doesn't end here. When we came back from dinner, our room was made up & towels were refreshed! Turned out they do afternoon turndown service which is my absolute favorite. Unfortunately they didn't refill the minibar which is supposed to be free and unlimited (I think).

I love that everything in the room can be controlled via mgm smartphone-like remote. It's so smart that it takes a while to figure what the buttons are for. The bathroom wall can also be changed to clear glass so you can watch TV while you are soaking in the bath tub. However, don't think there're speakers in the bathroom (there's volume button but it doesn't do anything). I also wish the toilet seat has bidet.

The toiletries box is pretty comprehensive. I love that they provide hair tie together with the shower cap. The only thing missing is vanity kit. Their comb is somehow wooden?

All in all, I highly recommend staying here, especially when they have free shuttles to many places, including the eat street rua de Cunha. Unfortunately they don't have exact time schedule yet. When we tried taking the shuttle, we missed it by 1 minute and was told to wait 20min. I hopped onto taxi right away since I was already hangry. Mgm Macau somehow has their schedule coming to mgm Cotai tho. Hope they'll have exact time soon.

The best part of our stay is when I told them on our last day that we're celebrating my daughter's bday for this trip and see if they have any special treats for her. They instantly offer bday cake which will be delivered in the afternoon. Since I saw other reviewer mentioned that they will decorate the room with balloons and stuff as part of the bday treat, I asked if I can have a couple of balloons together with the cake. They said usually decoration will need to be arrange at least a week before but they'll see what they can do. Turned out they did the whole "Happy Birthday" balloons and daughter was jumping with joy when she arrived in the room. She kept asking if we could stay here 🤣 Thanks again MGM Cotai for the...
