Staycationing at Grand Hyatt this April was a fantastic decision for me and my son. The hotel, right in the heart of Cotai, is literally next to the Macau Light Rail Station. Accessing it is therefore quite convenient. It is also worth mentioning that the hotel is right across from Wynn Palace and next to other popular tourist destinations like the MGM. You can get to the Grand Hyatt by taxi or by Macau's reliable public bus service. The highs of this trip for us were many. First off, the room we stayed in was luxurious, spacious, and with a grand view of the Macau airport. The pool is also picturesque and has hot tubs closeby if one is looking for a more intimate setup. I must say at this point that a majority of the staff are exceptional and seem to have been at the hotel for years. As such, they have a sense of ownership of the business and seek to offer an unforgettable experience. Take Sigit, for example, who has been there 11 years. He was at the Lounge on the 37th floor for the length of our stay and made our breakfast the highlight of our day. He offered personalised service, remembering our names and how we liked our beverages in the morning. He was kind and went above and beyond to make it a most hospitable stay for us. On the down side, the kids club is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, which I think the hotel should make clear to guests travelling with children from the very beginning. David at the gym however, saved the day for me. He allowed me to work out at the gym with my child, watching over him as I did my share of lifting heavy things. It was also really kind of him to teach me a few words of Chinese. I also suggest that you visit the Lobby Lounge, where Aris and Joseph will make you feel right at home and offer helpful suggestions on what to order and activities which you and your family might enjoy during your stay. Another let down for me was the Kids City. Though it is well equipped and not overpriced, the staff are unfriendly. In fact, they look visibly stressed and unwelcoming. A few pointers for those looking for freebies/ ideas on what to indulge in nearby: the cable cars at Wynn Palace are free and run late into the night. You can walk to the Venetian for sightseeing or shopping. City of Dreams also has high-end shops and some good restaurants. You can go for a night of dancing at Cubic, which offers free entry to hotel guests. We will definitely be back at Grand Hyatt for...
Read moreThe Grand Hyatt Macau is an impressive building that offers a great stay for travelers visiting the city. The hotel is modern, sleek and spacious with stunning views of the surrounding area. The staff at the hotel are very welcoming and provide excellent customer service, especially the concierge service which was very helpful with answering all our questions.
One of the standout features of the hotel is the room, which was simply breathtaking. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities that one would expect from a high-end hotel. The view from the room was simply stunning, with a picturesque view of the surrounding area that added an extra touch of luxury to our stay.
However, there were a few downsides to our stay at the Grand Hyatt Macau. One of the main areas where the hotel fell short was in its breakfast service. While the breakfast was good, it did not meet the level of quality that we have come to expect from other Grand Hyatt hotels. The choices were limited, and there were some notable omissions, such as the lack of a hot chocolate drink.
As frequent travelers who have stayed at many different Grand Hyatt hotels around the world, we expected a higher level of breakfast options and were disappointed in this regard. However, this was a minor issue in the overall context of our stay, and did not significantly detract from our experience at the hotel.
Overall, our stay at the Grand Hyatt Macau was a very positive experience. The hotel offers excellent accommodation, exceptional views, and friendly service from its staff. While the breakfast could have been better, it was not a deal breaker and we still enjoyed our stay at the hotel. If you are looking for a luxurious and modern hotel in Macau, then the Grand Hyatt Macau is definitely worth...
Read moreI would give this 6 stars if I could! I am so impressed with this Grand Hyatt - especially since the customer service is exceptional. Jayvee from the concierge and Sarah Cai at the front desk were so helpful and accommodating of my group's needs. They gave us a map and pointed out all the important places of interest and what transportation methods to use. Jayvee even came with us to our room, leading the way and helping with the baggage. We had asked for an extra bed, yet an employee was already setting it up before we even arrived at the room - that's how efficient the service was. Both Jayvee and Sarah Cai were so hospitable and friendly, which boosts the overall warmth of the hotel. Big shoutouts to them! Besides the customer service, the rooms are clean and spacious, with great views of the musical fountain at the Wynn Palace. Also, it's not only casino-related, which makes it a great option for families. And if you're still not convinced that it's a great hotel, it's conveniently located by many other casinos and malls. Overall, I highly recommend this Grand...
