This is really bad!

It is now an uphill task to better my future casino holidays after spending 9 days over two trips in The Londoner Macau.

First, the hardware. You inevitably reach for your phone the moment you step into that Piccadilly Circus lobby hall. “I need to show (off) this to my [insert love/bro/frenemy] with a nice selfie.” FOMO Creator Mode On!

Somehow, the entire place smells of nice and clean. I checked all the flowers and despite all being fresh and real, none are responsible.

And the rooms. They know about that wanderlust and that desire to hit 20,000 steps in half a day. A foot massager awaits with two pairs of socks. In a classier room, a full-feature massage chair ensures I am in my room unless someone needs me outside.

As for the bed, my casino host directed me to their gift shop and a full set of Londoner pillows and cases is now on my bed at home. Enough said.

Then to the software, I tried hard to find an inch of impatience in any of the service staff - in vain. Everyone knows what they are supposed to do and is happy to do it. The casino staff are professional yet intimate, a term rarely used for casino workers. I actually look forward to going back to the gaming rooms despite not being a regular gambler. I felt they wanted me to have fun and win (if I can). Genuinely.

Ah. The casino host. The omni-present one trained in hospitality and ninjutsu. Seems to always magically appear whenever you need something or when you scratch your head. They must be pretty well paid. I want to be one when I grow up.

Only one sore thumb though. The check-in/out setup is grossly inadequate. I could see impatient guests when I check in.

Finally, the hotel food. They kept the range selective but the quality is simply amazing. Think Wonton Mee Soup. With braised abalone and lobster balls. For breakfast.

Everything felt freshly made despite being part of a buffet. A thoughtful service staff brought an extra serving of oysters because he saw my mum enjoying it the previous breakfast. It was a first I tipped a breakfast crew. They must be really happy to work there.

On the downside, Macau is a major holiday venue for the mainland Chinese. When even 0.01% of China decides to visit, the crowd could be pretty unnerving. Though safe & orderly, there is a better way - Avoid the Chinese holidays. 90% of Macau tourists are from China. You know what I mean.
