Extremely Disappointing Experience at Tai Er Fuzhou Shangri-La Brunch
I recently dined with my family of 9 at Tai Er Fuzhou Shangri-La, and our experience was incredibly upsetting. After our meal, I used the tooth floss provided by the restaurant, only to find it got stuck and could not be removed. Upon inspection, I discovered that the floss was much thicker than regular floss—about 3-4 times thicker—likely contributing to the issue.
The response from the restaurant was appalling. Their initial reaction was dismissive: "It's not our problem. We never forced you to use our floss." What followed was hours spent at a police station in China. A representative from the company was sent, and while he acknowledged that the floss caused the damage, he refused to take responsibility. He instead suggested I sue the manufacturer of the floss. When the police suggested they cover the cost of an X-ray, the company agreed but insisted I not hold them accountable for any further damage to my teeth, no matter how severe. In fact, the representative openly dared me to complain or even sue, knowing full well that I was just a tourist with limited time to pursue legal action.
This experience speaks volumes about the company’s lack of integrity. Instead of questioning their procurement processes or considering the quality of the products they offer, they pointed fingers at both the customer and the manufacturer. I highly advise anyone considering dining here to be cautious, as this was a serious mishandling of a customer’s...
