We stayed at Panda's Hostel (Stylish) for 4 nights and had very mixed feelings about the place. We arrived some time around 10 pm or so. The place is easily accessible because Comfort Building is just located next to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station's exit (must be B1). To our surprise when we got up to the reception area of the 3rd floor, no one was there. The key and the paper with details of wi-fi, room number, etc. were taped on the wall next to the counter. ||||Once we arrived at our room (1101 Flat C), we were shocked. The room was super small and got no window at all! When we made a booking through Agoda, the room was shown as having window overlooking the park. Furthermore, the ensuite bathroom has no separate area between the toilet and the shower areas. Since it was already late, we agreed to spend the 1st night there anyway, and would look for a new place to stay the next day. ||||However, we decided to stay at the hostel through the rest of our stay. We understand that perhaps this is the typical size of hostel room in Hong Kong where every square metre counts! Besides, we spent most of our time outside anyway, so we only needed a safe place to secure our bags, sleep, and take a shower. Minus the lack of window and the size, Panda's Hostel is acceptable. It's conveniently located in the vibrant area of Tsim Sha Tsui, and food is sooooooo easy to find. My room's wi-fi worked...
Read moreWe booked a room that's supposed to be good for three and asked for early check in at Panda's Hostel - Cozy. We arrived at 10am and was told to come back at 12. We came back at 12 and was told we can't use the room until 2pm. Both times, there was a different receptionist and both were surly, difficult to understand and can barely speak English. When we finally got to check in, we were told the room we paid for was only good for 2 instead of 3. We had to pay an extra $200 for an extra bed for 2 nights. All we got was a tiny cot. Tiny because the room can barely fit the cot anyway. The three of us kept bumping into each other in the very small room. The comfort room fits a toilet and a sink and the shower is handheld. Up to you how you'll fit and manage your bath. Finally, the wifi wasn't working. This is anything but cozy. Very...
