I think I was not the lucky one (unlike other reviewers here) when I met the staff from the beginning. When I was checked-in, the staff (young guy with eye-glasses) was not welcome and friendly, not greeted me. Even not smiling at all! When he asked for deposit, he just said "$200" while at that time I dont know what it mean. Also he did not explain which room number I got (actually he just put the key on the receptionist desk without any explanation), and which way to elevator. As I dont want to "initiate fight/complaint" as foreigner, I just accepted his attitude towards me. From all of my experiences in any kind of hotel, the service here is the worst. Too bad. Hopefully the owner can train/educate all the staff that once you run hospitality business, the no. 1 rule is "EXCELLENT SERVICE", even as simple as smile, greet and explain what necessary to all guest!
Additional: I stayed alone for 2 nights, and I always ask for cleaning up the room (by gave notification through door). Unfortunately it just cleaning, not "make the room up". The bed was not tidied up. They're not change the towel. Even for water, they only give me 1 bottle refill per day (maybe they saw the water still remaining 1 bottle). Compare to other hotel/motel in Macau with lower rate than this, I got 2 water bottles per day, eventhough it still remain 1 bottle.
Overall my actual experience was much lower than what I expected before (as what I read on reviews). Hope you can improve the quality of...
Read moreA budget hotel that was not a budget at all.. Got more than what I expected . A lot of the items provided is what u would find in a 4 star hotel, such as bathroom slippers, a yutaka, international power plug adaptor, master light switch, vanity cabinet with all the usual dental kits and stuff, really hot and powerful showers, a well designed room with occupant sensor, auto electric curtains even in a small single bed room. Bed was comfortable and even had both soft and firm pillows labelled for you. A small adequate study desk area and free Macau made almond cookies are the bonuses! Location excellent with a 24hr supermarket just 100m away, bus stops and eateries just nearby and a 5min walk to Macau’s central tourist spot and the famous St Paul ruins. I walked around 10mins to Grand Lisboa Casino to catch a free shuttle bus to border of Macau and Zhuhai. Definitely a 10 out of 10 and best value hotel I have stayed. Definitely back to stay at city inn the next time...
Read moreThis was an unexpected great deal for my stay in Macau, as it was the cheapest price even if the check-in date is on the next day. Locationwise it is about 5-10 minutes walk to Senado Square and further 5 minutes to St. Paul’s Ruins which is tolerable. The room provided for a single person is already huge and smart that it automatically switches on the lights and aircon upon entry. Basic necessities are provided and are of high class for its size. Free sample cookies too is also given which makes me feel welcome in Macau. Bed is very soft compared to nearby hotels which helped me sleep well. I enjoyed my short stay here overall and will consider this again on...
