Hanting Hotel Shanghai Nanjing Road Walking Street Centre — Hotel in Shanghai

The hotel was a very basic hotel which correlates with what we paid for. What i really dont like about the hotel is that the toilet door is frosted and one can actually see clearly via HANTING, the non frosted hotel brand name. Toiletries were handled to you upon check in. We stayed for 4 days and were handled 4 days of supplies and we were hands full. The location is awesome, it is a mere 5 mins walk to the bund. Seriously, you cannot get a hotel at this price for its proximity to the bund, so you gotta weigh the pros and cons. Service is okay, nothing fantastic, doesnt welcome you back that sort either. But when we asked for more water bottles, they gave us. On the last day, my friend fell very sick and had to visit the hospital, they very kindly extended the room check out time for us. However my friend wanted to rest in the room until evening and they suggested we downsize to a smaller room and pay by time block so we could save abit, im so thankful for their help for this...

The location is fantastic. Right next to Nanjing pedestrian street. Walking distance to both East Nanjing and People's square metro stations. Plenty of food and shopping options all around the hotel. Buzzing area and east to get around the rest of the city. Rooms are smallish. Since I was solo, could manage. Otherwise can be tight. Basic amenities such as tea/coffee in the room could be better. Housekeeping is not upto the mark. I stayed for 7 days, just towels were changed, the bed made and bins cleared. Otherwise, wiping furniture, mopping floor was not done. Some trash bits were always found on the floor. If you are not fussy enough, can overlook these things for the benefit of the location.Front staff was nice. If needed I can stay here again, provided no better option is available at the price point around...

The hotel was located in the center of Nanjing road with walking distance to the bund and metro line from the airport. Many restaurants were near the hotel. Very convenient!! Didi could drop you off in front of the hotel. The front service was really nice and helpful. The room was not new decorated but was big enough for 4 persons, 4 baggages and one buggy. There was an elevator from the 1st to the 4th floor but there were some steps to get to the elevator. The cleanliness from the maid was fair. Mostly changed the towels (forgot some day), cleaned the bathroom but didn't sweep the floor.There was no smell of cigarette smoke in the room but there was in the corridor which was acceptable.Really worth the money for long stays !!!(One night just for left luggage when travelling to...
