My overall experience with this hotel is not good. Undeniably the hotel is located very near to the shopping street and the bund and it has great access to public transportation, other than that I have no good things to say about the hotel.
We made separate bookings (separate booking numbers but for consecutive nights) for 3 nights in the hotel. For such a big hotel group, they are not able to check us in for the 3 nights for the same room we booked due to limitations in the system. We had no problem with other hotels we stayed in beijing or japan even with separate booking numbers. We were requested to “update” our access card everyday at the front desk for our 2nd day and 3rd day with them. The hotel system needs serious upgrading. When we provided our separate booking numbers to the hotel receptionist for check in , the four eyed lady at the front desk definitely did not show hospitality, sour face is all I got from her. Cleanliness - 2/10. The toilet was merely hosed down, obviously there is no scrubbing whatsoever. See pictures attached for room 423 I stayed during the trip. Dirty! Power tripped- I still have 1 hr before the check out time of 12pm. While I was packing, the power went out. The sifu who came to check on the power trip told us that the front desk has wrongly cancelled my access card and I have to go to the front desk to “renew” my card. No apology from front desk whatsoever for such...
Read moreTHIS HOTEL IS REALLY BAD, I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT BOOK THERE!! I LOST MY KINDLE OASIS 3 DURING MY STAYI went to Shanghai in November and booked this hotel for 3 nights because of its central location. However, the room was very small and not clean, the soundproofing was not good. The worst part was that I lost my belongings in the hotel. I brought a Kindle Oasis 3 on this trip to read on the plane and before going to bed, so the first night I arrived, I took the e-reader out of my bag and left it on the bedside table. The following days I had a lot of sightseeing schedules, so I didn't have time to pay attention to the e-reader. And in the morning when I checked out of the hotel, I found that the e-reader was gone. The hotel refused to solve this problem for me and said that maybe I left it somewhere, but I was sure that the room cleaner took it because I didn't take the e-reader anywhere else. However, the hotel completely denied responsibility and said that there was no CCTV to check. I am completely disappointed and will never come back to this terrible place again. Everyone, please be careful when booking a...
Read moreLocation is great and the Michelin star Lai Lai Restaurant is just right behind. Can access by the back door of the hotel. Alongside there are Family Mart & Lawson. Room is small and the walkway are all covered with strips of cloth which makes the hotel look very messy and rundown. The worst thing is that there is only 1 lift serving all the hotel guests! We don't come back and rest during daytime as it is very noisy due to the motorists keep horning their vehicles (worst during weekend) It's literally non stop. I don't even dare to use their pathetic washing machine at a dirty corner and random ppl can just walk-around the area. I stayed here for 2 nights only and moved to Ji Hotel (People Sq) which is very near to Ppl Sq's Exit 19. It is so much better than JinJiang Hotel. LG Washing & Dryer machines at Ji H is so good and clean. Only Highly recommend to stay at Ji Hotel instead and breakfast is only abt S$5. Everything is so good compared to JinJiang. I will never...
