Hotel Casa Sabelle — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

We arrived early in the morning and for an additional cost we were allowed to check in which was really nice after a night of travelling. Unfortunately we did not get the room we booked, we were told it was due to early check in but we specifically chose this hotel because in the pictures the room had a window. Ours didn't have it and it was very disappointing. The hotel is extremely loud, not because of parties but because you can hear everything what's happening in the hallways, in the neighboring rooms and even at the reception. So we checked in early but then got woken up multiple times by noises, also by very strange music being played from the reception all morning (I think they turn it on at 8:00am). My boyfriend went down to ask if they could turn it down or off ideally, but was told that no because it's not the decision of the reception to do so. He came back up an tried continuing sleeping but then we could hear the receptionist discussing, the fact he went down to ask for turning the music off, with a cleaning lady. And in a very rude manner. Apart from that the hotel is located quite a long way from the center. A nice touch though, was that when we requested to modify our booking and stay one night less, it wasn't an issue and we got our money back...

The location is pretty good, far enough to not be bothered by road noise or parties. In general the area seems a little sketchy though. The staff is friendly. The facilities are a bit dated but the rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Every little noise is transported fully through the building (at least in the ground floor) and into the rooms.
