The worst service in Columbia. To start with - we been traveling all around the country and dont really have high expectations for hotels/hostels in general. This was without a doubt a very bad experience in many ways. First of all, the outer door in out first room was broken - which the staff compeletely denied. The cleaning lady was also still cleaning it (an hour after check in time). We got a New room which was fine. The breakfast the day after not so much - but it is what it is. Our room card stopped working the second day also which was interesting. The best part was when trying to check out that we had to stand by a full inspection og the room… to see If we had made a mess or stolen something I guess? That is not normal. Overall just really really bad and chaotic service - and not a Word of english. Maybe its better for spanish speaking I cant say - but I strongly recommend staying at a different place in Bogotá. Its a shame really, because the beds are quite nice. Just get a menu for the breakfast and trust that the guests dont trash the place when visiting? Oh and maybe encourage staff to learn just basic english instead og sitting watching tv shows behind the counte
UPDATE: They sent an invoice afterwards even though we paid upon arrival.
I don’t really ever rant this much but this was impressively incompetent from arrival to departure… and...
Read moreThis is a fairly average hotel but the room was spacious and clean with a good sized en suite. The shower was the highlight. Amazing shower :-)|The staff were really friendly and helpful despite the language barrier with many of them. |The area the hotel is based in is considered a very safe area which is why we ended up staying here but you are quite a distance from the centre of the city so will need a taxi to get in to the touristy places. Taxis are cheap though so this isn’t a crisis. You are right next to the train station for the tourist train to the salt cathedral though so that was pretty useful. |Breakfast consists of whatever form of eggs you fancy and a good supply of toast and jam. On our last day we discovered fruit and yoghurt was also available. |The one down side to this small hotel is that the walls seem to be very thin so that you can actually hear people chatting downstairs from your bedroom. This can result in tough times sleeping but not a deal breaker. If you want a cheap and safe option this place does the job but don’t expect a Hilton...
Read moreWe booked a room for 2 nights and we really liked that room with balcony and big windows, also the breakfast was good. My girlfriends parents were also coming and we recommend them the same.. but.. they get a room, same price as ours, without windows, no daylight, no fresh air, the wardrobe closet couldn't open, it was really to got claustrophobic in there.. and when we ask for another room and preferred to the same kind of room as we had, the girl behind the reception was not in any way cooperate to satisfy our request. But because we reserved we still had to pay the full amount of the room. Her parents didn't want to sleep in an atomic claustrophobic bunker so we lost the money. I would not recommend this place to any one. The pictures show only the few nice rooms they have, and it is disappointing that u count on a great room and get a terrible one. After this experience i loudly say, DON'T GO HERE! there are better hotels for the same price, who do have windows...
