Positives: The room was clean with a comfy bed and decent bathroom. The location is good for shops and the beach. The staff are nice enough and the complimentary breakfast is decent enough for a freebie.||||Negatives: The window in the room let in very little light. The wifi is terrible in the rooms but better in the common area. The laundry is really expensive, with the staff even telling you to take it elsewhere as they know how much of a rip off it is (so we did just that). And although the free breakfast is OK, the service of it is painfully slow. Finally, the beach itself isn't that great, as you can't relax as you're constantly being pestered to buy things. Therefore, this negates the hotels great location, as the beach isn't worth your time and the hotel is a 30-40 minute walk to the old city (we did the walk there and back one day because we couldn't stand another visit to the beach). If you want a good beach, go to Santa Marta instead.||||Overall, it was a basic but perfectly fine place to stay, but we regret staying here simply because the beach...

Arrived at the hotel to be told the room isn't ready. Came back at 2.30pm, check in is at 2 pm to be told room still isn't ready. Waited until 3.15pm to be shown the room. ||||The room was awful. No windows, just a small area with bars and some kind of plastic covering the bars. The plastic was disgusting, full of flies. Complained and asked to move. Receptionist claimed they had no more rooms with windows and we would have to wait for the manager. ||||As we had lost half the day waiting to check into a room we said we will cancel and go elsewhere. Magically the receptionist found another room. By then we had wasted nearly 5 hours trying to check in.||||The hotel room looked nothing like the photos on the online booking portals. It was stuffy and we couldn't breathe as the cleaner had masked everything with heavy duty bleach. It is promoted as having a location one block away from the beach. The Manager tried to help us with the issues at the Hotel. That is the reason for the 3 Stars. Otherwise 1 would be too much.||Staff isn't any help. No English, barely understandable Spanish. ||ACs with a lack of Maintenance, so some wont work.||WiFi was Bad in our room. Worked Good in the Entrance.||For Breakfast you get a Milkcoffee with surgar, a Juice, an arepa, Toast with butter and kind of Feta cheese and a scrambled egg with or without Tomatoes . NO CHOICE. Not even Tea or Coffee. ||I recomend to find an other accomodation in cartagena. ||The Manager should hire better staff and a good janitor. There is Potential in the Hotel but...
