Macarena Hostel — Hotel in Medellín

Booked a private room, which was far from private. As can be seen in the photos, a private room in a pod bed with a double mattress in it. The pod had zero room for stuff and I mean zero. It only had one plug and the 'secure' space for passports etc could be accessed from the back, can be seen in the picture. If you want a pretty comfortable pod bed, it is ok, but it is by no means a private room!!! ||The pod are also extremely hot as there is no real ventilation which made sleeping difficult. ||Came back from a bar about 2 am the front door grill was closed, which was good, however there was no one at reception to let us in. With a little time we managed to open the door with no key, just reach around and pull the key tab. So not a secure place at all. Planned on staying 2 nights, but moving on after 1! I would not stay here again, even if...

The location is not too bad (poblado) though it's far from the metro! We got a bed for two people, but there was no space to put our bags, so everyone left their bags in the hallway, which was full of stuff, when it was fully booked. ||It is not a party hostel, but since everything is open, you can hear everything.||When we arrived, the bed didn't look freshly cleaned and during the night it got so hot, we couldn't sleep.||Also the volunteers weren't interested in helping you out. You nearly needed to beg for the included (not very special) breakfast.||We would not...

This is a boxes hostel. The box is very very small, and not private. So, what would make me come? The low price? So, in the same area you can get regular dorm bed in the same price. Same, i checked.very expensive here. The staff is very cheap about breakfast, so tiny, i never saw... Asking for a bit more, and they agressively said no. No hot water in shower. Really outrages hostel. Dont even think...
