The hotel is supposed to have four stars. Considering that I am familiar with the standards in Zagreb, I would say that this is somewhat exaggerated. In any case, it is a pleasant budget hotel in the city center. Let's take it one step at a time. First, the location. It is exceptional and ideal for walking around Zagreb. Only 10 minutes from the main street Ilica and a little more from the main square. Hotel service is provided by people. The staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and welcoming to guests. |Parking is perfect and relatively inexpensive. Nowhere else in Zagreb will you pay only EUR 15 per day. However, you must reserve parking in advance.|The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are comfortable. Some amenities are missing, such as a mini-fridge with drinks or an iron. But it's still okay. The breakfast is modest, but for a guest like me, it's perfectly fine. Perhaps some people might have different expectations.| In any case, Garden is a pleasant hotel where transient guests and tourists staying for a few days can have their expectations fully met. It sounds a lot like reservation to me. Guy on reception is not rude, but not very friendly or polite too... Room and bathroom are so small that one person must lie on bet so other one can get around room. It is hard to do anything in bathroom how small it is. Minibar empty, remote for tv is broken. Walls are paper thin. U can hear everything in rooms nearby. Breakfast is not bad, but restaurant is ouside of hotel, and it is not heated (it is 3 degrees outside). Location is excellent. Everything is very close, just light walk to center, restaurants, HNK theater.... One of few good things...
Read moreThe hotel is located in two different buildings in the same street. Our family was designated to the one not positionated in the main hotel. We initially chose the hotel because it had an elevator. In the building we got, the rooms are situated one flight of stairs up. We had to carry the babycot from the reseption as the hotel had not registered that we had ordered one.
The room is modern and nice looking, with a fridge and a safe. At first glance it looked clean, but cogwebs and dust was found frequently. Especially under the bathroom sink and floors.
All in all; Ok, reasonable priced hotel a short walk 15-20 min from the center of the old city. If travelling with baby/toddler, be sure to get a room in the...
