Maistra City Vibes Hotel International — Hotel in City of Zagreb

I have been to Zagreb countless times, and in most cases I was not satisfied with the accommodation. I have stayed both in private apartments and in hotels; for a capital city of this size, the offer of hotels is quite weak (I am not talking about any luxury, but about the simple fact that in a large number of hotels, the value you get does not match the price, nor the name and the logo carried by the hotel).||I heard about Hotel international only recently and I am using their services for the first time in December 2024. We stayed only one night, to split the journey from Italy but also to visit Zagreb Advent. The location is excellent, because you need less than half an hour of easy walking to the central square of Ban Jelačić.||The hotel is adjacent to the garage which is connected directly to the reception, so there are no problems with parking. The garage is charged extra.||The rooms are very nice and functionally decorated. We were lucky to get a corner room, and unlike the others, we had a view on two sides.||The beds are comfortable, and the bedding is of high quality and without damage. The minibar is stocked with soft drinks, a rarity these days, and the coffee set comes with a few bags of coffee and tea and a new kettle.|The bathroom is very spacious and warm. There are plenty of towels and they are of excellent quality.||The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. During check-in, we were greeted at the reception by Vito, clear and articulate, real gentleman. Top rating for the lobby bar staff on the ground floor, too. Best wedding ever!! Although it is not their core business, the Hotel International agreed to provide catering services for our wedding, off-site, near Zagreb. I couldn’t more pleased that they did. Everything was outstanding, from the beginning to the end. They went out to scout the location beforehand several times, went out of their way to prepare everything well in advance on the location site, provided more than excellent service throughout the event, and the end result was simply amazing. The food was stunning, my wife and I sat through all of the courses and ate everything, which is probably not something one should do at their own wedding.  The service was superb, wonderfully old-school, with highly professional and experienced waiters. But even more than that, there was this underlying feeling that they were there as your friends and not staff. Even the Director of the hotel, Mr Vlado Leko, came to the event himself and provided support to us and his staff. You just don’t get that anymore. The head of catering, Mr Jadranko Rade and the technical supervisor, Mr Boras went above and beyond their call of duty to make sure everything went smoothly all through the event, so that we could care-freely enjoy ourselves and have the wedding we only dreamed of.
