DONT GO THERE
The check-in instructions are sent by email and via the Booking.com chat. We receive the same message repeatedly. The message says to click on a link. This link is only present in one of the multiple messages sent, which is very unclear.
Once the link is finally found, we have to use a platform other than Booking.com to get the check-in information. This platform requires us to log in and does not work well. Again, very complicated for no reason. The location is difficult to find. We still do not know if someone will be waiting for us at the location as this was not indicated in the instructions. This caused stress, wasted time, and frustration. Once there, we were greeted by a shirtless man who did not speak a word of English. We showed him our reservation and our name. He said he could not find us on his list and sent us away. I had to look through his emails myself to show him my name and reservation. On-site, we did not get the advertised room, which was supposed to be a room with a double bed. In our case, it was adequate, but it could have caused problems for many other people. We were asked to pay in cash even though an amount had already been frozen on my card. This was not clearly stated during the booking and incurred additional fees since we had to withdraw money (14% more). I still have not received the deposit back. This seemed to have been difficult for other customers as well, based on comments I read about this issue. The owner walks around shirtless and even came out of his room in his underwear at one point. The internet did not work when we arrived. The owner did not take us seriously and told us that it was working, even though three of us told...
Read moreThe room was nice and clean, and there was a large terrace with a great view of the town. Minor complaint: The light in the bathroom was turned on by a sensor and turned off automatically after only a few minutes, meaning that we had to take showers in the dark or step out to wave at the sensor now and then. Quite inconvenient.
Major complaint: As others have mentioned here, payment is cash only. Coming from a country that has largely abandoned cash and after travelling in Croatia and finding very few places that were cash only, we did not have nearly enough cash on us to pay at check-in. This was not a problem, the nice old couple that manages the house let us pay later. However, the ATMs in town have a quite unfavourable exchange rate, so the room ended costing us a bit more than expected. Nowhere in the many messages we received before arrival was it mentioned that payment was cash only, which is really not good enough.
The location was great, situated in a nice quiet area relatively close to shopping and bus stops.
Last comment: The old couple that manages (not owns) the house were very nice. The man did not speak English, but we were able to communicate well enough. I see some other reviews here complaining, but we did not experience anything negative or out of...

Booked this place around 9:00 the day I was meant to arrive. Got a confirmation from booking but no information from the property itself. The phone number was a dead end, same with the email. Despite me reaching out, I got no response. I arrived late in the evening but still within the checkin window and couldn’t find the exact address bc it wasnt even fully correct. Knocked on a few doors, got no answer. Tried to report to booking.com, no answer, ended up having to book a new hotel day of close to midnight. Disaster. I will be reporting you Cesic to the Dubrovnik tourist office and hopefully shut you down for your scamming. Shame on you! DO...
