Orka Apartments, Dubrovnik — Hotel in Dubrovnik

We have just finished our stay at Orka Apartments and felt so compelled to write a review to let everyone know about this little gem of a property. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely lady (I forgot her name but know she is not the usual host) who allowed us to check in early and showed us around. We stayed in Apartment 5 which is located across from the marina at the front of the property. A lovely apartment with everything you might need and more! A few steps and you are at the pool area. The pool areawas a big highlight of this property. A great place to chill out and cool off and it’s such a little sun trap! The surrounding garden areas were also so lovely and you are encouraged to enjoy them. The property is easy to access from the Gruz bus station. We took an Uber as we had luggage however is very walkable if you don’t have many bags. Beautiful views of the marina were amazing as we love to yacht and boat spot. The street can be noisy but we expected this and never disturbed us. Lovely restaurants surrounded the property and easy access to Dubrovnik old town by bus, taxi/uber or on a cooler day, walking. Will definitely be coming back here the next time we are...

Orka apartments are lovely. Anamarija and her family were very welcoming and helpful during our stay, printing out our Dubrovnik passes for us. ||||We were travelling with our friends so had a 1 bed apartment on the 2nd floor and a studio on the ground floor. The 1 bed had a lovely view of the marina, both apartments were spacious. The location was perfect right next to the marina and within a short bus ride, taxi to Dubrovnik city. It was an added bonus to have such a lovely pool area to relax after sightseeing in the city.||||We walked to Lapad beach and the cave bar. Enjoyed the city walls but did it later in the afternoon as very hot. We also enjoyed the local bar Shelbys, Peaky blinder pub and the Dubrovnik brewery along Lapad marina. ||||The only thing I would say to improve on, was the kitchenette in the studio. To have the tea making facilities in same area maybe a worktop area. ||||However this didn't stop us having a lovely time and we would definitely return...

Honest review. I have travelled to alot of countries... but Dubrovnik is now my favourite!! There are road works going on at the marina, so it makes getting to the apartment tricky, but this is not the owners fault and will be completed soon. Also Dubrovnik isnt suitable for poor mobility as there are alot of stairs. ||These apartments were AMAZING!! The host was excellent and very accommodating, including arranging our transfer to and from the airport. The apartment was very clean and had everything you need for self catering, including pool towels. The fact that there is a pool makes it even better as this is rare. Excellent location, facing the Marina with lots of restaurants and Sunset Beach being a 15 min walk away. ||Dubrovnik old town was only 8 euros in an uber. We even hired a boat and sailed ourselves around the 3 islands.. what an amazing experience. We can't wait to go back. Thanks Anamarija...
