City Center Rooms — Hotel in Grad Pula

I booked this due to the good reviews and price. We paid a week before we arrived and all was confirmed.|We were horrified with the inside of the building up to the apartment. The entire area needs desperate maintanance (wobbly staircase, graffiti on walls, dirty floors) but the worst was the HUGE black flies infesting the landing to the rooms!|We waited an hour and there was no sign of anyone so we, (myself, my husband and my two children aged 1 and 7) went back to the car. We noticed a number for city rooms outside the building and called to see what was going on.|The owner picked up and in a rush told me they were on holiday and to go to another hotel of a similar name (!!) We thought she owned it as it was the same name and, with her directions, we parked up and went in. |It wasn't. It was a completely different hotel. We had to call Bookings and sort it out, which I could only do once I got back to the UK. We had to pay for another hotel and waited a week for this hotels refund.||I've never experienced anything like this before, it was shocking- both the situation and the city centre building.|I didn't get to see inside and to be honest, I'm glad I didn't. So I must admit I thought what on earth have we booked when the transfer dropped us off. The outside is very very tired.....however that is my only 'fault'.|We were contacted a week before our stay to confirm the time we should be meeted. We were greeted on time and were shown to our room and the communal kitchen. The lady gave us a map and details of nice beaches to visit.|The room was modern, spacious and clean. It had everything we needed....including air conditioning!|They contacted us to check they could come in and clean the room and clean towels were given on request.|The location of the rooms were great too! Not in the hustle and bustle, but a 5 min walk and you were in the heart of it all with plenty of restaurants and bars to chose from. As well as Pulas many historucal ruins and beautiful port. Bus stops were also very close so we could make trips to the beach....10min bus ride at 11kn one way!|A supermarket was just round the corner.|On our departure the staff once again messaged us through the booking site to wish us well. |Overall I would 100% recommend...

On our first stop in exploring Croatia we stayed at city centre rooms in pula. Do not be fooled by the presentation of the building on the outside - when you get inside it is beautiful!|On arrival we were greeted by a friendly face and made a fuss of. We were allowed to leave our bags as we were very early checking in due to the flight times.|Our room was large and immaculately presented with all necessities.
