Restoran Furia — Restaurant in Grad Pula

I saw this restaurant and reviews from social media and came. Totally disappointing. The reason why the prices are medium standards is that the portions are very small. The fish fillet was so thin and small that I couldn't even cut it with a knife. There was too much spinach on the plate and those little fish fillets were barely visible. We left before we were full. Also the squids were like rubber. The calamari sauce did not come. We asked for sauce again but it came after 7-8 minutes and meanwhile the squids were cold. Fish and calamari were very tasteless. I do not forget that we waited for almost 45 minutes to experience all this disappointment. The staff looked sullen and rather unhappy. They had a situation as if they were working and we were getting their salaries. :) The staff doesn't even look at your face when they are talking with you. One of the best seafood eating experiences of my life (and there have been many!). On a busy and hot august day we queued for a table around 25mins but it was 100% worth it. Once our order was in with a helpful waitress who was happy to explain the menu and specials in good English, the food arrived quickly. Everything was just so simply but beautifully cooked, fresh as can be. The highlights being the grilled sardines (pilchards really) with parsley lemon and garlic, a tender octopus salad, and a lightly battered and fried calamari. We come here eat lunch three days. Fresh and local fishermen’s style. We ordered as much as we can eat, don’t worry about the price, much cheaper than the others beautiful or star restaurant. For I see,I ordered some seafood are directly buy from downstairs seafood market, but what they get are much much fresher than what we can buy. Waitress are friendly, service is good. Balcony have water fans, inside have fan. Food delicious. The price deserve the environment, or the environment deserve the price.
