Stayed in Room D2 for 4 nights.||I was very late arriving at the hotel thanks to my train arriving 40 minutes late. I had kept in touch with the reception and kindly stayed until I arrived at 10.50 pm. ||The room is one of the cleanest, artful, well designed and equipped I've ever used. There are two bunks stayed against one wall, solidly built with a privacy light, shelf for personal items and an electric point. Each person also has a drawer under the bed and a tall cabinet to store clothing. The room even has two chairs, a table and a TV. Never seen a TV in a dorm room before. The bathroom had a walk in shower, toilet, basin and a hairdryer. ||Breakfast was provided. Options were cereal, fruits, tea and coffee. There's standard brewed coffee, but they also have an espresso machine that uses capsules. That machine made a decent espresso. The kitchen also has a microwave and two fridges which you can use to store stuff. The kitchen is also the common area with a long lounge settee and a TV. You can even have your food outside too as there's seating there as well. ||Location wise, the hotel is about 10 minutes downhill walk to the historic centre and 20 to the trains or bus station. The staff are fantastic. They're friendly and helpful.||Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend Hostel Dvor or stay again. The staff, the rooms and the facilities...
Read moreThis is the best hostel I’ve stayed at, and I’ve stayed at 3 in total for durations of 3-5 nights!
What differs from this one is that it’s small, so it’s maintained and cleaned really well. Additionally, the rooms only have 4 beds. This makes it more personal, quiet, and not as “fatiguing.”
The bathrooms and showers aren’t all grouped together. So you can have a shower much more privately.
The lockers are huge, making it easier to store and change clothes.
The location is fantastic, it’s discrete yet you’re only 5 minutes walk from grocery stores, restaurants and the port.
My main points of feedback are that I wish the bed sheets were a bit thicker and the pillows a big bigger. I still slept really...
Read moreThe most spotless lodging I have ever seen, even in a hotel. Employees were very courteous. The lounge and offerings were breakfast were great. TVs are in every room (I believe) with channels in multiple languages (the best selection seemed to be the German ones). Key cards are used to get past several doors and into the rooms, so you'll feel very secure. Would recommend this hostel if coming with people or if you would like to be in a quiet space. I assume it is more lively during high season, but it is more of a relaxed place than one with a huge social/party atmosphere from what I saw in mid-April. It is a little out of the way of the town center, but the walk to get there is short and beautiful....
