Hotel Baština Bol — Hotel in Općina Bol

This is one of the more unique hotels we have ever stayed in. The hotel is behind an old monastery that today is a retirement home for retired priests. The hotel is right on the water and looking out of our room was the most beautiful view directly onto the water. Rooms were modern and fairly basic, but clean and sufficient. Breakfast was nice, just what we needed but nothing over the top. Plenty of parking spaces as the beach next to the hotel is also a fairly popular beach for vacations to drive to during the day. It is a very quick walk into town which was perfect for the evenings and there are some really wonderful restaurants close by. This hotel is in a wonderful location on the island of Brac. The main part of town with loads of bars and restaurants is a short walk away, but the hotel itself is very quiet in the evenings. There is a pebbly beach just next door to the terrace of the hotel - it's nice, but gets very crowded in the middle of the day.||||Rooms at the hotel are a bit basic and some are very small. Breakfast is good, but not very varied. Lunch and evening meals are all drawn from a single rather limited menu. I wouldn't bother with half board - better to go to the main part of town in the evening where there's much more choice at good prices. Maybe use the hotel for lunch, but the half board meals are a very limited selection from an already limited menu - best to go elsewhere or pay direct.||||Very friendly and...

Excellent hotel from beginning to end of our stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond. We asked if we could borrow an iron and they offered to do the ironing for us free of charge! We gave them 5 items which they returned to us ironed a couple of hours later. ||Rooms are really clean, powerful shower, comfortable bed, huge windows, sea views, good air con and fast and FREE wifi. ||Food is simple but cooked well and fresh. Big selection at breakfast and dinner was always tasty. We were half board, so we were provided with 3 different options each night for dinner. Very good value for money!
