Regency Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Paphos Municipality

I booked here 11 months ago to stay for 6 nights from May 9 - 15. They got in touch with me a couple of weeks ago with this message| |"Unfortunately, due to an unexpected double booking, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to accommodate your stay as originally planned. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and deeply regret this situation.||To resolve this matter, we kindly ask that you cancel your reservation at your earliest convenience. If you need any assistance in this process, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly."||We were going through my mothers funeral at the time and I did not see this message until yesterday when I started to print of the documents. There was a second message from a few days after the first one||"Dear Michael,|Unfortunately, there was an issue with your booking, as the property was reserved at an incorrect price. While I understand that this may not be a concern from your perspective, the reservation is not financially viable for us. As a result, we will need to proceed with its cancellation."||I then phoned and was told there was no way they would honour the booking as the price I had booked for 11 months ago was wrong. I had been in touch with Agoda and they confirmed that the booking was paid and confirmed. This is hotel is managed by a dishonest man. They are now charging more than twice the price for the same room ! The first message stated that they were double booked but I have just checked on Booking.com and they have at least 3 rooms available. Unless you are willing to pay £160 per night for this self-catering, small room then please stay clear ! They have left me scrambling to find alternative accommodation at short notice and I will not get my money back until up up 30 days from Agoda. There are many words to describe this but I would probably get...

Would never recommend to anyone coming to Cyprus to stay here. I had paid for breakfast and when I got there it wasn’t showing on their system - after some time they realised I was right but where I had added 2 days onto my stay it removed the breakfast from the booking. Naturally mistakes happen so I thought they would see the fault and say ‘no problem we will sort this for you and allow us to have breakfast’ unfortunately the people working there and the manager could not have cared less at this problem and told me to contact who I booked with (Expedia) so we did… Expedia then contacted them and explained to allow us to have breakfast but the hotel still said no. We had to change rooms due to the air con system leaking all down the walls and onto the floor. There is no one at the hotel working after 11pm till the morning which I feel is extremely unsafe. Right next door to the hotel over looking the pool area was huge construction work going on every day which was so loud you couldn’t have a conversation with others. - we explained it would have been nice for the hotel to have allowed guests to know this when booking as this affected our trip hugely. We also noticed during our stay no one in the daytime was around the pool so it clearly affected all guests. We ended up every day going to another hotel down the road where our friends were staying as it was much more enjoyable. It was hugely over priced for what you got and breakfast should have been included in the price for how much we did pay.

Luckily we found a lovely hotel to come back to when returning to Cyprus. Staff and the manager have some serious people skills to work on. We arrived with two other guests who stayed in a different room who did have the breakfast and explained to us we didn’t miss out on much due to the quality.

Personally, I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here as they have some improvements...

Super expérience at this hotel! The room is clean the staff welcoming and helpful and the pool lovely! We stayed there for only 2 nights but we will definitely come back. |On arrival the receptionist were so nice and explained everything in details to us even the fact we could add on breakfast to our stay and the opportunity to use towels for the subbed from them which was an amazing touch!!!|The only down point was that the building next to the hotel was under renovation and had some noice during the day but it’s not the hotel’s fault so we fully understand that’s okay. |We didn’t take the breakfast with the reservation but we ate lunch by the pool, small menu, but the food so nice.|The hotel is small so a benefit was that we had the whole swimming pool are to ourselves one day which was amazing and the staff were so nice towards us, it would be better if someone was constantly at the bar or came up to us to ask if we wanted something but that’s miner details. |Other than that we recommend this hotel 100% for anyone to visit and hope we get to go there again soon.|Thank you for an amazing few...
