Curry House Indian Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

First impressions, it was quite busy, which is usually a good sign, our drinks order was taken quicklt and the drinks arrived quickly, i tried to ask the lady for food aswell but was informed she only does the drinks orders. The table was very sticky, i could barely move my coaster, and avoided my arms touching it at all costs.

10 mins passed and still no one came to take our food order but i kept telling my partner theyre busy and theyll come soon

After 25 mins still no one came to take our order, so i waved the drinks lady over and asked if i could order our food now, to which she literally ran away (im guessing it was her job to notify the food man when new people arrive)

The man came and took our order, its now been another 40 minutes and we dont have our food yet.

So we arrived before 9, and its not 10pm, which is supposed to be the time they shut, and we still dont even have our food yet.

Food came eventually, was nice, nothing amazing, I'd rather have just gotten a microwave meal for the price we had paid though.

Will not be visiting again, all in all disappointing.

Drinks also arent on the menu so you dont know the prices, and the water they offer you is...

It was our first time in Paphos on holiday and my parents fancied Indian food. I found the Curry House via the Happy Cow app. We had a great experience from the offset and the food was delicious. Raj, Tula and their staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the great choice of vegetarian options that we visited a further 2 times. The restaurant got a little busy but the staff were very good and service was up to scratch. The menu had the vegan options clearly labelled and there were 'chili's' marked against each dish also and you can also choose dishes as your main or side. The portions were of good size, even the side dish option. Complimentary poppadoms were offered at the beginning, giving us a chance to nibble something whilst our dishes were being prepared by the chefs. Raj also came around and spoke to us which was nice. I did not have a local sim, but I was able to send an email to make a reservation and Tula responded swiftly to confirm which was great, thank you!

Unfortunately we didn't have the experience we expected from the reviews. The staff was great, very welcoming, polite and helpful, but the food service was very slow, main dishes arrived over an hour after we ordered. Starters were very nice, fresh and tasty, but we really struck out with the mains. We ordered medium heat for one dish and recommended for the other(high), but they were so hot we couldn't taste the flavours. The rice was also very overpriced for what they served. We were somewhat responsible for the heat level so this is not the reason for our low rating. We ordered the kids meals, fish and nuggets with chips, yes this is an Indian restaurant, yes these are not the typical choice, but for the price, one would expect a decent meal. The fries were awful and the "meats" were the lowest quality possible. I can't remember when was the last time we didn't ask to get the leftovers as take away, but these were definitely worthy of...
