FULL REVIEW ON TRIPADVISOR We paid around £950pp with TUI for 1 week all inclusive in 18th September. Arrival: 10/15 coach transfer from the airport, we were the first drop off. Greeted at the door with drinks and food. Room: We got a loud room with a leaking shower so chose to move at 7:30pm on first night which started the holiday off on a bad note. New room was better but the bath was leaking. White towels were in need of replacing as very worn and stained. Lots of black mould in the bathroom and poor extractor fan. Safe costs €3 per day and is a small metal box so we didn’t use- too small for a laptop. Doors opened by a key and need to be slammed to close properly. Only one key provided and key fob needed to activate electrics. Gap under door let in light and sound. Drinks: Really really disappointed with the drinks. The fizzy drinks are awful- each day they tasted completely different. Cocktails were typical all inclusive and nothing great. Lots of spirits available including Malibu. We did experience some unfriendly bar staff in the evenings in the lobby bar. It’s a shame as most staff were wonderful. Food: Breakfast was not too bad and as expected at the AI. Lunch and dinner were honestly amazing. I have been doing AI for years as this was hands down the best food I have ever had. Pool: Free pool towels. We stayed around the activity pool each day. We enjoyed the music and the better atmosphere, also you were allowed inflatables in this pool. The area around the sun beds was not cleaned very well- rubbish was always cleared well, but we spilt a Pepsi on our first day and the floor was still very sticky in that exact spot by the end of our week, so obviously not cleaned. Sun beds were plentiful. The slides looked great for kids and were never busy at all- bear in mind the are closed at lunch (no opening times anywhere so this confused us for the majority of the holiday as we thought they were shut). The steps up to the slides were quite dirty and rusty and no footwear allowed, not even water shoes, which did make me abit uneasy. It did feel quite neglected. We encountered some unfriendly life guards at the top some days and we felt like using the slides was an inconvenience to them so we avoided using sadly. Day activities: All activities are in English only- this is a resort defiantly catered to English families. Many activities running throughout the day and announced on the speaker phone. Night entertainment: We left the hotel each evening really and did not watch any shows. We visited the nightclub in the basement for the TUI rep meeting and it was so outdated and also smelt very damp. General: Hotel and grounds were clean and well kept. Wifi wasn’t great for us and signal dropped in and out- I did use a lot of 4G. We took lots of mosquito precautions but did not encounter any of them apart from 2 in the bedroom when we first arrived (bf killed them). You do get airport noise from this hotel as flights take off towards the hotel. Overall: We had a really lovely holiday for a week. I do think its location lets it down as it’s the furthest hotel from the harbour. Renovation is heavily needed in this place, specifically the corridors to the rooms, room doors, the bathrooms and the basement entertainment room. They need to update the white bathroom towels too as so many of them had holes, were ripped, or had stains on. I definitely would not pay over £1k pp to go here for a week and felt the price we paid was about right. Nice hotel, but don’t think we will be back, but 100% would be back to Cyprus. I do think this resort is best for families (with younger children) and elderly people. As a 23 year old couple we did feel slightly out of place. Compared to other AI places I have been, I would say this place is more on a 3/3.5 stars rather than a 4 star hotel. Food was the highlight to this place- so so nice!

I usually go away on a family holiday every Easter and for the last few years we've travelled to African destinations so we decided on a bit of a change and headed to Paphos. We ended up booking the Louis Phaethon Beach Club due to the fact that the reviews pretty much spoke for themselves. Before I carry on with a brief review I will say that there are parts of this hotel that need upgrading, maybe replaster here and there, ceilings refitted, new carpets maybe and a lick of paint too. I believe that a refurb is taking place soon and I would love to return to see what this looks like after this takes place. I am going to keep things pretty brief and straight to the point. My in-laws are pretty well travelled and they've stayed at many resorts and this was one of their favourites by far. The staff just get on with their work, they're not in your face like some hotel staff are by trying to be overly friendly. With that being said some of them are very quiet and on some reviews this has been misconceived as those members of staff as coming across as nasty. I'd imagine it's quite the opposite, they're just doing their job. The food is on point. The same dishes are repeated on either side of the restaurant hall but the quality of the food is just outstanding. Some night themes are better than others but I never failed to find something I didn't like. The only downside of the dining experience is that the restaurant is pretty noisy and I don't know if this is something that the future refurb can possibly sort out as everything echoes. My son is autistic so dining was a little bit of a challenge but it's not any fault of the hotel that the restaurant was loud. Don't feel afraid to ask whether you can take food back to your room in such circumstances, the staff were very understanding of my son's condition and on some nights we took his food back to our room. The restaurant can get pretty warm too. I think it's because it has glass surrounding most of it so with the sun beating down on it all day, the temperature just continues to rise. Again, I believe the future refurb may fix this. I don't like to focus on certain staff but I will point out that Sharon, who works as guest relations went above and beyond for us. You'll usually see her speaking to guests throughout the day asking what can be improved and what they like about the hotel. She made sure that our son had a bed guard without us even asking for one. She only knew to get one because we mentioned he had one at home to keep him safe. She also advised us on what hospital to go to when my wife was ill and checked in with I will also like to mention the management of the hotel. Usually when you go to a resort you'll only see the manager if there is something wrong. From what I could see there were three managers, two of them looked like they were brothers and you'd see them all day long getting involved with the daily duties of running the hotel, something which I haven't seen in any other resort. It is so good to see managers leading by example. The actual area that the hotel is in is pretty quiet as it's located towards the end of the bay not directly near the harbour. If you want to go to the harbour (which is worth a visit) then you can literally go out of the entrance of the hotel, take a left and walk for around 2 miles. There is also a bus stop to the right of the hotel on the same side of the road. There are regular buses to the bay area. However, if you like to take a scenic route then there is a pathway all the way to the harbour at the back of the hotel that cuts through many resorts along the way. I am definitely thinking about returning to this resort at some point in the future, it is definitely worth it!

Just not quite 4 stars for me. Very much a 3.5 / 5. Though by no means did I not enjoy my stay I did find the hotel enjoyable and my holiday comfortable but it's just a bit off a fourth star. Firstly I'd like to thank all the staff they are by far the most welcoming, efficient and friendly yet. Especially the nighttime bar staff, and a special shout out to the night bar staff who always catered to us with great efficiency and kindness. I'll try to keep it short but it probably won't. Overall: Great staff, lovely location right by the beach and easy access around the hotel, very kid friendly, very easy and comfortable overall. So why not 4 or even 5 stars? The rooms: 4/5 - Find a detailed review of rooms below. Staff: 5/5 - Absolutely zero complaints, all staff were incredible. All very nice, friendly, accommodating and helpful whenever possible. Food overall: 3/5 Find a review of food / drink below. Find a more detailed food review below in the food / drink section. Hotel features / entertainment: 3.5/5 - Entertainment while not quite my thing definitely was good, entertainment staff were friendly and always very energetic offering a variety of activities to partake in from quizzes to sports to gentle exercises. Music variety could have been better, music was pretty quiet on the side of the hotel I sat on and could only be heard by the main pool but a detail worth looking over as it allows people to sit away from the noise. Only 2 main pools accessible to all, there are 2 smaller kid pools which are perfect for kids. And also a large pirate ship play area, and another smaller play area again perfect for kids. As well as a small "water park" didn't use it myself but it seems perfectly nice, especially again for kids. A few slides, a very nice addition. The 2 main pools both maintained a good temperature, weirdly the second main pool we weren't allowed a rubber ring? (A slightly larger one but still seemed weird) Main pool is fine? That's about it really, it's pretty small and often crowded for a main pool but if you find a quiet time to go in then it's fine I suppose. While the hotel is definitely going to struggle for its features because of its size I still think another main pool somewhere could have fit if they expanded the hotel would be perfect. No complaints about sun beds really perfect for what they are, never got uncomfortable and plenty to go around, could have used more umbrellas around though. The hotel shop is nice, but pricey but is what you'd expect. Nightclub / kids entertainment is pretty perfect for kids, didn't really try either myself but I can certainly see kids enjoying themselves there staff always made it easy to access and made you aware during the evening of what was going on and encouraged people to go. Indoor pool / spa area / gym / steam room: All surprisingly very nice, would recommend going in the Jacuzzi pool, especially when quiet. I think maybe even restricting it to 16+ would be perfect to give adults a specific area alone to avoid kids / noise. I didn't use the spa or steam room but both seemed nice, The spa staff were friendly and welcoming and offered their services as soon as you arrived at the hotel. (Note, the spa is paid for, no complaints there would not expect it to be free) Find more info in the "Other" section.

Edit 2(Sep 12): After i posted my original review (below) and then contacted by management so I made an edit (below) and changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars but that wasn’t good enough for this hotel!

The manager who claims he’s been working at this resort for 12 years pulled me aside as i was stepping onto the bus to leave and asked me 3 times to delete my review. I felt extremely intimidated and when I replied that I made an edit and complimented their swift response and changed the rating from 1 to 3 he continued to ask if i would delete it. In reality all they did for us was comp our late check out we had requested before I made the original review. We were comped (70€) Now you might think why would i want to stay longer in this hotel? Our flight didn’t leave until 10pm and I was having such a bad time already I was determined to salvage the trip and spend the day in the water and be able to shower before the flight.

While the manager was pressuring me to delete my review he tried explaining that the spa isn’t owned by the resort and only rents the space. Which basically means they can operate their shady business practices on their property and solicit their guests! I think thats even worse! The manager also said to my husband at one point that in his 12 years no one has ever had food poisoning but if you scroll through the google reviews I’m not the only person who has been sick from the inedible and oily food.

We also noticed when we bought liquor from across the street that the bottles came with a plastic piece inside that you can’t remove to stop people from watering it down or filling it with a cheaper liquor. When we visited friends at another resort down the street we noticed their bottles all had that same piece to prevent this. We ended up spending over €500 on food and liquor from local restaurants and shops after paying for(2) all inclusive food and drink packages.

Will continue this review on TikTok, reddit & other channels

Edit (Sep 10): Within 2 hours of posting we were swiftly contacted by management who listened to our grievances and went out of their way make it up to us the best way they could. I appreciate the quick response. By the looks of it, mosts guests love it here so maybe it just wasn’t the right fit for us at this time. As mentioned before it looks like a great place for big family groups, families with kids and weddings. I truly appreciate the quick response as I genuinely hate complaining. All businesses deserve a chance to make it up to you and in this case they showed they are on top of things which proves a lot!

Original (Sep. 10) : Unfortunately as a brown woman I felt very mistreated by a lot of staff and you can clearly see their priority are the white british tourists. (Unbeknownst to them I’m American and LOVE tipping, also my entire family works in the service industry so I would of loved to have a reason to tip even average service) I was also on my honeymoon and while the gentlemen at the front desk, Alex was extremely nice he was the only friendly face all week. The resort is definitely geared more towards large families and kids. I wouldn’t recommend for couples. We did all inclusive but that was a mistake. After the first 3 days of eating at the hotel and experience extreme stomach issues and skin break outs we’ve started ordering out. Stomach issues immediately stopped. There’s a shop across the street and been buying alcohol there because all the spirits are watered down or just low proofs. We were planning on getting a couples massage for our honeymoon and then first day a gentleman came around the pool explains the services we thought to ourselves great, let’s do it! Of course he didn’t explain the fine print (if you decide you don’t want to do the massage for whatever reason (maybe your sick, or want to go into town) you will be charged for it plus 50£) . Transparency is key and instead of feeling like I got a great deal on a massage I feel like I got scammed. The women who did the massage were extremely nice though.(and yes, they were...

Hello November may not be the best time for holidays with children, that's why my 10-year-old boy was a bit bored because the slides were completely closed, and yet they could be open for at least 1 hour a day. The kids club wasn't working either so all that was left was eating ice cream haha. Unfortunately, the water in the pool was also 21-22 degrees, so there were not many walruses, but it was the end of the season, so we were lucky enough to have six days of sunshine. The hotel borders the seashore, unfortunately this shore is covered with thick seagrass and tons of it are washed ashore along the hotel. The sandy and pebbly beach is 300m away but we didn't see any takers. At the hotel you can rent a jet ski for 50-55EU for 20 minutes, the equipment is ok and a few other water attractions. The water in the sea was about 22-24 degrees, which is about 2 degrees warmer than in the pool. None of the pools had heated water, and despite the temperature during the day 22-24 degrees, at night 17-18 so the water in the pools cooled down. Animations by the pools did not have many people because they took place too early around 10 am so the water was still very cold and the air was also around 20 degrees, or around 3 pm for water polo, where most people were gone after sunset at 4:20 pm so it was already too cold. In the high season, these would probably be ideal hours, but now in October and November they should be shifted closer to the middle of the day, e.g. 11-13 The hotel is old and its tiredness is visible in many places, but in general, everything is painted over and repaired, so it does not hurt the eyes. The balconies are small and what personally hurts me is the lack of a fixed or portable lamp because I love reading a book outside with a drink in the evenings and the evenings are already from 5pm now the rooms are also small and the bathroom, especially in the shower not much traffic possible. Safe deposit 3EU per day. The single beds are quite uncomfortable. High mattresses made of sponge in a kind of plastic BUT SINCERELY AND HONESTLY!!! We will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to everyone WHY ????... Because despite these insignificant shortcomings, we spent a great time there. A very nice staff at the reception, especially Iliada and Claudia, thank you for your help and care. Greetings from MAX. The rooms are cleaned every day, the beds always have new linen and the bathroom has towels (although sometimes the persons controlling them should lean over and under the bed, because there was dust before I paid attention, and even though the soap at the washbasin and in the shower was not replenished, after calling reception everything was ok in a few minutes. The rooms have hair dryer, kettle and set of coffees and teas and sugar. Everywhere, whether in the bar or reception or in the cleaning staff, we met only polite people. The pools and their surroundings as well as the green areas were cleaned every day from 6-7 in the morning. The food was a pleasant surprise, with a choice of colors. In addition, there were also themed dishes every day, e.g. Italian, Chinese, Mexican and of course Greek cuisine every day. Salads with cocktail shrimps, baked calamari, shells were every day, although the fish selection was not great but they were there. Salad compositions, and a dozen or so ingredients to compose your own salads and a dozen sauces to choose from. A corner of freshly roasted meats, pork, beef, poultry or lamb deserves separate attention. And a separate pizza stand. For breakfast and dinner, apart from hot dishes, there was also Parma ham or various yellow and white cheeses. Seasonal fruits were limited to apples, plums, oranges, bananas, kiwis, grapefruits, pears, pineapples and melons, and limes. The table with desserts was like a fairy tale, various flavors and colors as well as specialties for everyone and, what is praiseworthy, not too sweet, such as Turkish desserts. There was no shortage...

FULL REVIEW ON TRIPADVISOR

We paid around £950pp with TUI for 1 week all inclusive in 18th September.

Food was the highlight to this...
