Went to dinner here with my mom, first time Paphos. We sat down, received a menu and after two minutes a waiter already came to the table to get our order. Excuse me but this is our first time, can we please take our time to scan the menu? She seemed annoyed when we asked for more time. The naan bread I got was burned so the taste unfortunately was off. The soup and rice were nice. Also how do you serve dinner without napkins? There were no napkins in sight. But when she came to serve the table next to us, they got a whole basket of napkins? After dinner they did not make an effort to properly clean the table. We had a lot of food left so we asked if we could take it away. The same waiter that arrived after two minutes came and dropped bags and containers on the dirty table, she was very rude. When I went over to pay I forgot the digits so I was standing there, thinking. Because the same waiter was impatient she was like "YOUR PINCODE MADAM". I thought to myself I know the drill can...
Read moreMy wife and I have lived in Paphos for more that ten years and in that time have tried all of the Indian restaurants that have opened (and closed!) in the town.
Hailing from Birmingham (home of the Balti) we, in our previous life, ate curry at least three times a week, and have some experience of what makes a good curry. When friends asked us what we missed about the UK we would invariably reply 'a good curry'.... no longer!!
Having found Spice Hut our good curry requirements are more than met. The food is amazing with real depth of flavour, the staff are courteous, welcoming and always willing to accommodate any individual requirements. It all adds up to an extremely pleasurable dining experience.
Spice Hut is easily the best 'curry house' in Paphos and more than holds its own against the best we experienced in the UK.
I can say no more than - If Carlsberg made curries....... and if pensions permitted we would be dining there three...
Read moreConnected to the aliathon complex so as a guest of the aliathon was gifted a 10% discount. Didn't book and initially turned up with the kids but guessed that it was very busy and not too many staff so decided to let the kids eat at the AI and I returned later. Meal was lovely. Sadly missing some pickles/something spicy with the pappadoms which was a shame but mint sauce and mango tasted very authentic. Starter of sheesh kebab which was served hot and sizzling and stayed that way for a good 5/8 mins. Good taste but not too spicy. I normally order a naga at an Indian but this wasn't on the menu so I played it safe with a chicken tikka masala. Great quality but far too bland for me. Nann bread was superb and sag paneer good. Service: Andres was lovely as was the lady. Great service , piping hot quality food, nice ambience. My fault for not ordering something hotter/spicer. Next time 🤗 . Would...
