It’s our first time at this Hotel and we stayed for 7 nights in September 2025. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed a relaxing holiday! ||The Hotel location is good - although it’s no better than the other neighbouring hotels. ||There is a small, seaweedy beach to the back which is rocky/slippy when entering the sea. You definitely need beach shoes! This didn’t bother us as we took some and also recognise that the Hotel can’t control the sand/seaweed/rocks - if you want a bigger and more picturesque beach, this isn’t the place. ||There’s a good water sports place at the back of the hotel which I’d recommend. There’s a supermarket across the road from the hotel (expensive) and other bars/restaurants nearby (we didn’t use them so can’t comment). ||There isn’t a lot to do near the hotel. You can walk to the Harbour but it’s about 45 mins and not much to see other than hotels. Get the bus for €2 outside the hotel. DO NOT eat at the Harbour - it’s a tourist trap and the food is BAD compared to the Hotel (surprising I know!). ||What we enjoyed: ||- The food quality is excellent - fresh, flavoursome. doesn’t feel mass produced and not repetitive There’s A LOT of choice at breakfast, dinner and tea. Other reviews saying there’s ’no choice’ are laughable - what do these people eat at home if this isn’t good enough for them!? The Hotel do different themed nights for dinner (gourmet, Asian, Mexican, Greek etc) but there’s still other dishes too, I.e. hot/cold pastas, hot/cold meats, multiple types of salad, soups, seafood, breads/dips etc. No issues at all with any food being ‘undercooked’ either - staff go round with temperature monitors and are very diligent. ||- The Italian restaurant (pool bar turned into a restaurant at night) is a nice change from the AI buffets, is a la carte and you’re allowed to dine there once per stay. The food/wine were lovely, as were the views across the pool/beach. ||- The staff in the entire Hotel work very hard in their roles. They serve you quickly and are mostly pleasant. The Entertainment Team deserves some extra credit as they work very hard. They’re friendly but not pushy at all, and offer a lot of activities throughout the day (yoga, aqua yoga, quizzes, archery, table tennis etc) if you want to get involved. There’s evening entertainment every night but we didn’t partake so can’t comment on it. ||- We were in a first floor room which was very clean and quiet. Housekeeping staff changed towels and bedding every day. They also stock the fridge each day with water, soft drinks, juice and tea/coffee. The beds are very comfy too, and the shower was powerful. ||- The main pool is a lovely size and temperature (there are other smaller pools but we didn’t use them). Plenty sun beds for everyone and they’re cushioned which is lovely as not all hotels do this. Beach towels are provided each day, if you need them. Music is played around the pool which creates a nice holiday atmosphere, and isn’t repetitive or overpowering. ||- The air con in the room worked well and we had no issues with it at all. Some reviewers complain you can’t leave the air con on all day (it’s controlled with your room key), but maybe they’ve forgotten electricity isn’t free? ||- There’s a good choice of alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks and hot/cold coffees. They use non-branded spirits but this didn’t bother us. The drinks round the pool are definitely watered down but still taste nice. The drinks served in the lobby of the hotel are considerably stronger and not watered down at all.||What needs improvement: ||- The rooms are definitely outdated and require a refresh in terms of the furniture and general, mundane decor. The Hotel itself also resembles a corporate, bland space in some areas (lobby/corridors) and definitely doesn’t have a 4* feel to it. This was evident on booking though (from photos and reviews) but still something to be aware of. ||- There really aren’t enough sockets in the rooms and none near the bed at all. This might not be important to some, but it is an annoyance when you have devices to charge. ||- You shouldn’t have to pay for a safe in your room (€21 for the week). You can’t avoid not having one for passports, money, jewellery etc. This is the first Hotel I’ve been to where it wasn’t included, although I acknowledge this was clear on booking. The key for the safe also has your room number on it. This isn’t security conscious and poses an obvious risk. ||- The lobby area, where you can have drinks during the day/night, has no atmosphere and again resembles a corporate space. Feels like you’re having drinks in a waiting room. ||- There’s no gym. This would be a nice addition and is something most 4* hotels and above have. ||Things we noticed that affected others: ||- We did hear people go to the front desk on multiple occasions complaining about things in their rooms - broken air con, TV’s not working, fixtures breaking etc. Whilst I can’t comment on what the hotel did to resolve the issues, I can’t help but feel maybe we were luckier than others. This again highlights the need for an immediate refresh of the rooms. ||- The Hotel does host a lot of weddings, which again is clear on booking (there was more than one in the week we were here). This didn’t affect us, but I can imagine how noisy it would have been for the rooms directly above the wedding on the night. I’ve also seen other reviews complaining about this, and I’m...
Read moreWe visited the Louis Ledra from 24th April 2024 on all inclusive board and what an amazing experience. We knew we had picked the best hotel when we were greeted by the manager with a glass of Prosecco and canapés. As someone with disabilities I was impressed that they changed my room booking to ground floor with walk in shower. Every member of staff we met had impeccable customer service skills and were caring.
Room The room was spotlessly clean and housekeeping visited daily. We had a mini bar which was replenished every day with water and non alcoholic drinks. Clean towels every day too. The room was quite large with plenty of storage for us both. The terrace was very private and not overlooked. Air conditioning was free of charge but there was a small charge for the safety deposit box. I recommend taking earplugs due to minimal soundproofing but we both slept exceptionally well. The beds are high quality and super comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. Tea and coffee making facilities although it was not needed for us.
Food The main dining room was spacious and spotless. Food provided on a self service basis although waiter service provided any drinks. The food varied day to day with theme nights. Everything we ate was delicious. Cooking stations too the fresh omelettes were exceptional. Food to suit most nationalities the beef stefado was the best I have had to date. Plentiful salads, desserts, hot food, even a children’s table with their favourite foods. The pool area provided delicious snacks and lunch with a view. The Italian a la carte is actually the pool restaurant that is re purposed in the evening to the a la carte not a separate restaurant. You can visit here free once per week. We were a little disappointed with our a la carte experience. The starters were shared bread with olive oil and about the smallest drip of balsamic I have ever seen. The single stuffed mushroom we shared was not to our taste. However the fish for main was beautiful cooked and seasoned, the Tiramisù was just average. Lovely change but I would not pay to visit the a la carte as we both thought the food in the main restaurant was better overall. If you are going out for the day you can even request a packed lunch the day before and collect a breakfast. Alcoholic drinks are included if they are local branded alcohol such as we have in the UK is an extra charge. The inside bars provided lovely cocktails too, but the outside bar cocktails were very weak in comparison. This suited us though as they were refreshing and we are not big drinkers.
Pools Again exceptionally clean, sun beds plentiful with no scrambling to find one. One indoor pool we didn’t use and three outdoor pools. One outdoor shallow baby pool, one larger pool for all and one small adult only pool. The adult only pool was adequate size to cool of but we had a couple of occasions when we had to inform parents it was adult only. The signage could be clearer for this. The beach was a stone’s throw away.
The beach Not really a swimming beach as most days it was quite rough. Large rocks underneath meant difficult entry but a nice sandy area to relax and listen to the waves. Beautiful sunsets.
Entertainment We didn’t try the evening entertainment but the team were lovely in the day. There was archery, quiz, yoga, aqua aerobics, shuffleboard, boules all included. Big shout out to the lovely ‘Luna’.
We witnessed such kindness from staff, there were tables reserved near the food for disabled although we did not need this. The gentleman waiter would plate what was requested for anyone having difficulty to walk and serve it to their table for them, which was just lovely to see.
The manager who welcomed us insisted on seeing us off. She waited for our bus with us, gave each of us a hug goodbye and wished us safe travels, I have never experienced anywhere else. We met other guests who have been re visiting the Louis Ledra yearly for 10 years another couple every year for 7 years and we can see why....
Read moreI went here for a wedding with friends, it wasn't my normal choice of accommodation as I prefer somewhere a little more off the beat and track, however friendly staff and clean rooms won me over in the end.
Situated just 20 minutes from the airport and directly off the beach this hotel is perfect for people traveling with friends or family for a sun and sea beach holiday.
The food in the restaurants was well prepared and in constant supply. Each day you had a different type of cuisine to try and there is always something simple for the kids.
The hotel boasts four swimming pools, main, adult, child and indoor. The adult was calm and peaceful. The indoor was strange as it was so hot very few people went in, but great for people worried about burning in the sun! The main pool was spacious enough to play games and have a general splash about. I did find that some of the less desirable people who just let the children run about and perhaps smoke a touch to much, do tend to frequent the sunbeds nearest this pool, so for peace and quite venture to the luscious green grass sides of the hotel.
The sea was mere steps from the hotel with additional sunbeds on the beach for you to use. Do buy swimming shoes from the nearby shopping center (try the shop Jumbo for all your family needs) as there are rocks as you walk in.
There are many bars and places to get a drink on site, but service can be slow as one would expect with an all inclusive hotel. When drinks arrive the staff always smiled and asked if there was anything else they could do. The lobby bar in the evening is always busy so expect a delay, but it's always cool and has musical entertainment so a pleasant place to be. The pool bar is easy and quick to grab a drink. The snack bar in the pavillion provided what I call easy food (fast food) it's not the fastest service but again all done with a smile. Get your ice-cream earlier as each day they ran out of at least one flavour.
The rooms were spacious with all the basics one needs when traveling. Mini fridges stocked with water and soft drinks (refilled daily). Some of the décor is a touch dated for my taste, as I'm not a woolen blanket/pillow person...something about wool makes me weary of how often it's been cleaned (to note it looked spotlessly clean) the beds were firm with additional pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. My room had fresh flowers and a fruit bowl upon arrival. Then on one of the nights they left me chocolates on the pillows. The bathrooms were clean and tidy and well appointed, remember that you put soiled toilet tissue in the bins and not flushed away (this was emptied every day without fail by housekeeping).
On to the wedding!! The wedding was a nice day and my first international wedding with friends. There were a selection of places you could get married at: from near the beach to the function rooms, to the terrace off of the function rooms. I would suggest the terrace offers the most privacy as being next to the beach felt very overlooked to me. Do splash out on the extras that Jan(Events manager) offers as these will help to make your day look special. The Bride and Groom had opted for a three course sit down meal rather then a buffet, which I feel with the weather being so warm was a safe option, half humid food doesn't stay fresh for long and the hotel wouldn't be able to do much about it as it's a Cyprus climate issue rather then a them issue. The food seemed well prepared and was neatly presented and the staff couldn't be more helpful. My only real complaint was that the timings were very streched between courses and this should be addressed internally, otherwise no issues. The in house DJ was perfectly acceptable but I think he struggled with connecting with our smaller party. My only real comment here is please don't leave the dance floor during the first dance to get a beer Mr DJ... thoroughly unprofessional.
All in all a great all-rounder for families and friends look for some all inclusive sun...
