Es tanto lo que tengo para comentar de este hotel, que excede este espacio. ¿Recuerdan aquello de hacerse una fama y echarse a dormir? Bueno, resume todo. La famosa construcción ornamental tipo años 60 que está en la puerta, despintada y decaída, es un símbolo del estado general del hotel. El personal, con excepciones, es ineficiente. Teníamos un transfer al aeropuerto pago, y no se lo informaron al conductor, con lo que pasamos un pésimo momento al llegar al destino. Nos pusieron un solo albornoz en la suite para dos personas. Reclamamos el otro apenas llegamos, estuvimos varios días y nunca lo agregaron. Peor: ¡nos pusieron un solo vaso! Preguntamos si las botellas de agua eran de cortesía... y no lo sabían (por cierto, lo son, esa es buena). La suite tenía una linda terraza con dos sillas y una mesa, que no deben haber sido limpiadas en décadas. Gastamos un rollo de papel higiénico en sacarles parte de la roña negra acumulada. Al final, desistimos de usarlas. Afeitarse en el baño es tarea de héroes, porque la iluminación es malísima. En la suite te mueres de frío, no tiene calefacción, terminamos resfriados. Te ponen un bonito escritorio, pero ni hojas de papel ni lapiceras, eso lo traes tú. La cama tiene una luz única para ambos, así que o los dos leen antes de dormir o ninguno. ¿Hay cosas buenas? Sí, por eso puse las tres estrellas. Las vistas son bonitas, aunque los dos colosales edificios nuevos le robaron la del Pichincha. La suite es amplia, bien amueblada y confortable. La cama, enorme, es súper cómoda. Ponen kits de afeitarse y demás. Hay calentador de agua eléctrico para hacerse té, lo que viene muy bien. Ponen tazas y platos, pero poco surtido de infusiones. Los ventanales son magníficos, con doble blackout de comandos. El desayuno, en el Techo del Mundo, es muy bueno, no es buffet pero resulta rico y completo, sin exagerar, y el personal atiende muy bien allí. La piscina no la usamos, pero se la ve hermosa, al igual que el sector abierto. En fin, todo puede mejorarse, poniendo un poco de voluntad. Por eso hago las críticas, si no, no tendría sentido hacerlas.

Have stayed here twice and loved my visits. Excellent views from the restaurant on top floor. The food is good and what I would expect to pay at an American hotel. The pool area is nice and there’s a short walk to an overlook park where you can see the valley. They even have a very nice doctor on staff who helped my family get over a stomach bug (not from here). Great service and room service is very fast compared to other places I’ve stayed. Rooms are good size and comfortable.

Tuve la oportunidad de visitarlo en el 2012 iniciando las lluvias que aplacaron incendios forestales en los cerros al Noreste de Guápulo. Este Hotel tiene excelentes vistas hacia el Cayembe, al atardecer la nieve blanca refleja un color anaranjado por la puesta del sol. Hacia el Oeste se observan las estribaciones del Pichincha, a cualquier hora da gusto observar la ciudad desde los ventanales del comedor ubicado en la parte más alta. Un buen ejercicio es bajar a Guápulo no más lejos que 1km, pero bajar y subir es eterno si no se está preparado para ejercitar la fuerza y respiración de hacerlo. Abajo por la avenida del Conquistador viví el paso por un barrio muy interesante donde se ubicaba la residencia de la Embajada de España, el excelente templo Nuestra Señora de Guápulo que nos brinda la historia de la ciudad y el Milagro de la Virgen de la Nube; desde su plazoleta Francisco de Orellana inició su expedición en lo que conoce como el Camino de Orellana y la bella frase "es gloria de Quito, el descubrimiento del Río Amazonas". Al lado del templo del siglo XVI se encontraba la Universidad SEK. Lo mejor de mi primer viaje a Quito, fue bajar al amanecer de aquel domingo y asistir a la misa de 6 de la mañana, la despedida de la ciudad antes emprender el regreso a mi país. Documento en ésta la actividad que tuvimos los cooperativistas de la región Caribe, Centro y Sur América.

The Hotel Quito is exceptional. We travelled to visit family but in 2015 we had a huge problem with our house in Quito and our turned in to 2 months, We got to know the staff by their first name as part of our family everyone is extremely accommodating and always remembered our names with total respect. Karina Gonzalez is the best person, kind loving and caring. i spoke to her about my mom having some health issue and she took always the time to ask me :how is your mom" so sweet From our arrival to our departure, nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff. Their service was friendly, courteous and efficient. The breakfasts were delicious, and the kitchen even arranged for a very early breakfast to accommodate our departure time. It made me feel that if a doctor is an call 24/7. I'm sleeping in peace . Thank you to everyone at the hotel: my country you were great ambassadors...

I’m very Disappointed with this hotel. I booked a night for my brother in law Because he drove us from Guayaquil to Quito and he needed a room to stay for the night and on the phone the lady said that the breakfast was included. My brother in law went to stay one night and the next day he went for his breakfast, after he ate it the lady came up to him saying that he needed to pay for his breakfast. So this hotel clearly don’t keep their word. Before I call this hotel, I called several places and they said the same that the breakfast was also included but we chose this hotel because it was close to the airport. This is my second time in Ecuador, my husband and I have stayed in a great hotels but this one was the only one that did not know how to better communicate. We visited Ecuador for the first time in January and February. We were in Quito to visit family from February 3-7, 2023. Unfortunately we booked directly from their misleading website. They offered a room for two for $85 dollars with breakfast included. When the room was booked the website changed the offer to lodging only (breakfast not included). We found out about this technicality when I went down for breakfast. The lady serving that morning made me aware of it. She notified someone from the main desk about the situation. He took my information so I could be charged $17 per person. I must admit, whereas they were quite polite and the service was good, I felt deceived by the way they treated me.
