This is a great place to stay and work in Quito. There are three large rooms with desks and tables to work on as well as a kitchen for making tea/coffee and to cook. I worked on a consultancy project during the day sharing a large table and working with others and also found a quiet space in a smaller room in the evening for my online job as an English teacher. The internet was excellent throughout the stay and perfect for giving online classes with a camera. As well as providing coworking space, there is also coliving space with either private rooms or shared dormitories. I stayed 4 nights but there were many people staying for 3 months or more, so good for building connections if you are planning to stay in Quito longer term. The coliving was a mix of Spanish and English nomads/freelancers so plenty of opportunities to practice English or Spanish too! The space is located in a very safe area of Quito and a bus or taxi ride away from the historic centre or attractions such as 'Mitad del Mundo'. There is a large supermarket a 10 minute walk away and plenty of upmarket cafes/restaurants etc. Overall I highly recommend working and staying...
Read moreI loved my time at Play House (1 month and a week in a private room) and would love to go back. The place is comfortable and bright for working, cooking, relaxing etc. and the people I met there were lovely. Good internet. Had some fun times, made some friends, and felt very at home there.
N.B. if you stay for a period that is not exactly a whole number of months the extra nights are not charged the pro-rata monthly rate, rather a higher nightly rate. E.g. I paid $260 for the month then 12$/night for the week I stayed after that.
Neighbourhood (la floresta) is nice, with nice restaurants and cafés nearby.
Laundry can be done for you...
Read moreI stay here for one year and had an excellent experience staying here! The house is filled with opportunities to meet new people and offers a variety of entertainment options, ensuring both a lively atmosphere and tranquility. The living room is also used as a coliving space, which is perfect for remote work while still being surrounded by good company and high spirits. Having lived in shared accommodations for years, I highly recommend this place! Additionally, the location is fantastic, nestled in the peaceful La Floresta neighborhood, which is abundant with restaurants,...
