Nubian paradise guest House — Hotel in Elephantine Island

The owner is exemplary kindness, takes great care of us, and speaks good English. The rooms are simple and very clean, the wifi works very well, the air conditioning too. Coffee and tea are available to us free of charge, the view of the Nile is really beautiful (facing the sunrise). The bathroom is clean and functional, and the local breakfast is delicious on the terrace and very filling for the price! The island is very calm, no camel crossing in to the street, no bad smell, no music until late, the locals are very friendly, and it's 2 minutes walk from the boat to cross (which costs 5LE) . Terrible experience. The place was dirty. The rooms didn’t have a bathroom and the common bathroom doesn’t even have a shower just toilet and basin. The housekeeper was using the same toilet. Behind the hotel there is a discharge. Access to the hotel is difficult especially with luggage. The view from the top roof is nice but couches are dirty and uncomfortable. Das Aswan Nubian House ist der perfekte Ort für alle Individualreisenden, die für wenig Geld and einem ruhigen Ort übernachten wollen und die gerne mitten im ägyptischen Leben und fernab der Touristenströme sind.|Das Aswan Nubian House liegt auf der geschichtsträchtigen Insel Elephantine auf der der Stadt abgewandten Seite mit wunderbaren Blick auf das Aga Khan Mausoleum und das Kitchener Island. Auf der Insel gibt es keine Autos, die könnten durch die engen Gassen auch gar nicht fahren. Man hat uns zwar die Koffer per Schubkarre zur Fähre transportiert, aber einigermaßen gut zu Fuß sollte man schon sein, wenn man hier wohnen will.|Das Haus selbst ist in traditioneller nubischer Bauweise errichtet. Die Badezimmer sind sauber aber winzig und rustikal (die Dusche ist ohne Duschwanne einfach neben der Toilette angeschraubt), die Zimmer sind einfach.
