On having booked some flights to do a 48hr trip to Tallinn the first thing we did was start exploring hotels. There was a variety of hotels we looked at but we just kept coming back to Hotel St. Barbara when we were trying to shortlist the one we wanted to book.||The location of this hotel is simply perfect, a stones throw from the old town walls (you can see them when you leave the front door!) it made it super accessible to stay next to the old town but in a quieter less busy area. Having arrived at the airport first thing in the morning we took the Number 2 bus into the old town and it stopped right next to the hotel - perfect for getting in and out of the city!||We arrived a little earlier than the check in time and thought we'd try our luck, the lady on reception was super friendly and welcoming, getting us checked in nice and quickly which was a huge bonus!||The décor of the hotel is old school but in a charming way with all the modern amenities you would expect of any hotel these days. We had a junior suite which gave us ample space to sit and relax in the lounge area with a large sliding door that separated off the bedroom from the rest of the suite. A large bathroom with freestanding bathtub equipped with shower made my partner very happy as she could have a soak with the small bottle of wine that was ready waiting for us when we arrived in the room.||The only slightly negative comment we had about the room was that that just outside the windows there was like a tin covering on the window shelf - well we had a lot of rain that night and naturally this was quite noisy. That being said as seasoned travellers we carry earplugs etc so it wasn't a problem.||Along with the room we got a free continental breakfast which was lovely - setup in the basement in a Bavarian style décor the whole way the building and the limestone has been incorporated is stunning and works beautifully for the aesthetic.||All in all, a wonderful and characteristic hotel perfect for a stay to explore the medieval city of Tallinn! We'd...

Now, let’s talk about the breakfast! It was truly amazing – a delightful spread that catered to all tastes. Fresh pastries, a variety of fruits, and local delicacies made it a feast worth waking up for. Read moreStayed here just for one night while hotel hopping in Tallinn with my little family of four. We booked a family room with beautiful by windows and a bath tub. We had one queen bed and a room with two single beds. Our St. Barbara stay comes with a buffet breakfast. There is not a lot of options but still would offer food for vegans, vegetarian, those on keto, lactose intolerant, and gluten-intolerant diets. This is alright because the stay isn't very expensive. The check-in is a breeze. It was wonderful to know that our room was ready earlier than official check in time but if it is not, they also offer free luggage storage while you roam around town. Our room holds a lot of character and clean. The windows give you a sight of the old Tallinn architecture. The only downside for our family if the lack of a bidet/toilet hose in the comfort room. We're 2 minutes away from the public transport. Also a few minutes away from restaurants, bars, the Old Town. Location is great. We can jump on a bus to the Cruise Terminal so that's very convenient especially while traveling with little children.Would definitely recommend this hotel to families...
